Compact weekend bag
I never check luggage, and generally travel with a Patagonia MLC 45-liter bag. I like the Patagonia bag a lot, but sometimes it's too big and I decided to try this one as a compact alternative. Because it's smaller I've had to re-think how I lay out my stuff, but I'm getting pretty excited about this little Gonex bag now that I've loaded it up. I use the outer pockets differently from the manufacturer's suggestion: I have a little pouch with my phone charger, cables, and other electronic dodads, and that goes in the smaller of the two 3-D pockets on the outside cover. There's still room in there for my sunglasses. And I put my TSA-approved bag of liquids in the other outside pocket, with room left over for stuff I may want to use during flight, like earbuds, eyeshades and my Kindle.Unfortunately, this bag doesn't offer a super-convenient place to stash my laptop. On the (expensive) Patagonia bag I use for long trips, there's a zipper pocket on my back where I can slide in my laptop. I wish Gonex had done the same thing, but the pocket they put on the back of this bag is only big enough for a passport and wallet. I have to put my laptop inside the main compartment. The other thing the Gonex bag lacks is a sternum strap (that thing that keeps backpack straps close to each other and moves some of the weight from your shoulders to your chest.) I can fit enough stuff into this bag that a sternum strap would be a big plus, and I'll probably end up buying one separately and stitching it on.In addition to the outer pockets, there are two flat mesh pockets inside the cover and a full-size flat pocket that works like a flap at the top of the main compartment. I'm not sure how I'd use that big flap pocket, but it's big enough to carry letter-size papers flat and I could conceivably even put my thin-and-light laptop in there. I suppose it's intended for laundry, but the other pockets seem more useful. In spite of my minor quibbles, I haven't deducted any stars because I think this bag offers excellent value for the money, it's well made, and it does what I need it to do.

Just buy this bag
I went on a 5 night trip with this bag. Flew on spirit airlines. I had no issue at the gate. It fit perfectly in their sizing requirements and under the seat. I had it over packed but I was still able to stuff it under the seat. The quality is great. Worth the buy if you will use it Often. I will use it not only for flights but weekend travel. Lots of compartments. zippers and handles are good quality.

Amazing Bag, Pockets Galor!
I absolutely love the amount of secretly large this bag is! The inside pocket is roughly 4 inches thick, I'm so excited to use it as a travel bag. Perfect amount of space for clothes and notebooks, and an inside pocket/flap that separates everything. Also, most bags usually only have one or two outside pockets and this bag has five! Including a secret back pocket.

Great for airplanes/travel
Great for traveling! Went on a 5 day trip and it fit everything I needed. It fits under airplane seats, overhead bins and is way easier to carry around since it’s a backpack. I highly suggest this product for those who pack light and want a backpack that’ll fit everything

Does the job
Bought this backpack to use a personal item on Spirit Airlines. Mission accomplished. It's pretty well organized with a okay quality for the price.

Comfortable and Sturdy
This backpack has great padding on the back and shoulders, which makes it very comfortable to wear, along with adjustable shoulder straps that help position it comfortably on your back. The pockets are spacious and actually make sense to keep things in. I bought this bag to go on a trip in March, but I’ve been using it for weekend trips since I got it and I love it!The zippers are a little hard to open, but I probably only think that because I’m used to cheap backpacks that fall apart if you over stuff them. Luckily, this backpack holds together really well and the zippers dont burst or open on their own.Additionally, there’s an attached bag on the inside that you can put dirty clothes in to keep them separated from your clean ones and that’s really convenient too.

So far 2 thumbs up!
I've finally received my travel bag today, Monday, July 8, 2019! The tracker said it was delivered yesterday! I was like to who!? But I received it and so far I like it! Its large enough to hold my fluffy blanket(yes I said blanket, it gets cold on the plane!) and my travel pillow and I still have room for everything else! I can put my laptop, tablet, travel liquids, and possibly my flat earring case/holder!I'll submit an update when I travel with it!

light weight and holds a ton of stuff
Great for travel - and holds a lot of stuff. The only thing I wish it had was a strap across the chest and one around the waist to hold it in place better, otherwise, good pack.
