NOPE! not worth the price...
I buy almost everything through Amazon so I have tons of cardboard boxes that I need to recycle every week.I also sell stuff online so I have a need to tape up packages for shipping time to time so I wanted to buy a good packaging tape that has very strong adhesion. I bought this Duck HP260 tapes because it has 3.1 mil thickness, which is very thick compared to other tapes but I learned that thickness does not mean better adhesion.WHAT I LIKE:[+] Tape is very thick and crystal clearWHAT I DON'T LIKE:[-] Adhesion is horrible... tape lifts up easily with any sort of resistance or movement on the packaging[-] Because of its thickness, each tape is only 60 yards long, which runs out twice as fast as other similar packaging tapes[-] It's pricey.... I don't mind paying higher price for better quality but if adhesion is not good, then this tape does not serve its purposeTHE BOTTOM LINE:2 out of 5 stars. This was a waste of money for me as they were not strong enough to tape up cardboard boxes. I ended up buying cheaper tapes that had better adhesion and much longer length per roll.I guess you can call this a heavy duty tape since it is very thick but what good is it if it doesn't have good adhesion? It's not worth the price so I would not recommend this tape. No wonder the duck looks sad on the tape... 😁Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

HD Clear vs HP260 vs EZ Start
I bought all three of these Duck brand tapes for a move, and they are quite a bit different from one another.HD Clear: Thick. Easy enough to tear, once cut has started. Weak stickiness. Good for taping stuff to a wall without pulling the paint off later. Horrible at taping boxes together. Within 24 hours it had literally fallen off, on its own! Do not use for packing boxes unless you want all your belongings to crash onto the floor. Luckily I had taped up my boxes long before moving. Not sure what the HD stands for, but it's not Heavy Duty, I can tell you that. Good for safely taping things to walls, but not much else.HP260: Thick. Strong stickiness. Not easy to tear. This is the stuff you want to tape up your boxes. Will definitely take paint off walls. Will not go anywhere. You will need a knife to open your boxes after using this tape. I would choose this type to mail things with. Actually heavy duty, professional grade stuff.EZ Start: Thin. Like it says, easy to tear. Maybe too easy. Like aggravatingly easy, when you're trying to get a full strip going. Comes with an dispenser for a reason, but still a pain to use. Also not particularly sticky. Good for taping plastic tote lids onto tote bottoms, for a move, say. Not so good for brown cardboard boxes or mailing or anything that needs to be permanent. Weak and thin.HTH.

Not for cardboard!
I have moved...a lot. I have found what tape is good, what is great, and what is trash. For moving purposes this tape simply does not work. It will not stay stuck to dusty or unfinished type cardboard, the kind of boxes moving companies sell for...well moving. You can press it, rub it, smooth it, but frequently it falls back off. With glossy type cardboard this is not so much an issue. For packing/moving I prefer this: Scotch 3850-6 Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape, 1.88" x 54.6 Yards, 3" Core, 6 Rolls also available here on Amazon. With that said I LOVE THIS DUCK CLEAR TAPE! I have used this for a long time for other things. It is fantastic for many types of repairs because it is strong and crystal clear. I have a huge library and every repair is made with Duck HP 260. I add office made bar codes to my books and this tape is how I protect them on the back of the book. Tear a page out of notebook by accident? Double over piece of HP 260 on the edge of the page and re-punch your holes--it will not tear back out again. I have many workshop and office uses and its thickness, crystal clearness, and permanence make this tape one of TWO tapes I buy. Just not for cardboard.

I hate, hate, HATE this tape! Poor adhesion, rips easily, and smells bad
I made the huge mistake of buying a pack of 8 rolls of this horrible tape on my first time trying it.I'm pretty sure it has shortened my life, because every time I use it, it raises my blood pressure significantly. After writing this review, I will probably bite the bullet and just throw away the 4 remaining rolls.I ship a lot of guitars for my business, so I use a lot of tape. I have tried various types. Here are the issues with this junk:1. GOD HELP YOU if you "lose the end" of the tape. In other words, if you are not using a tape dispenser and you accidentally let go of the end of the tape and it goes back onto the roll, then (a) it is practically impossible to find the end, even with good fingernails; (b) when you do finally find the end, the tape is so thin that when you try to lift up a corner with your fingernail, you just rip off a tiny piece of tape instead; and (c) if you are skilled enough to lift up a corner without ripping off a tiny piece, then when you peel it back, you just get a thin strip instead of being able to peel back the entire width of the tape. If you're lucky, the best you can do is rip off a triangular shaped piece so that you have to end up peeling off about one full circumference of the roll before the piece you are peeling off ends up being the entire width of the roll. The solution: USE A TAPE DISPENSER, OR YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DIDN'T.2. The tape doesn't really stick all that well. I know a lot of other reviewers complained about this as well. I haven't seen it start peeling off within minutes the way some others have, but I can certainly see it's not as sticky as some other types of tape I've used. So I just generally use it to attach labels, and I use the HD Clear tape (from the same maker) for securing my packages. That stuff is actually pretty good. Also, this stuff is so weak and easy to tear that I wouldn't really trust it to secure a $4,000 guitar box anyway.3. It has a disgusting and strong chemical smell, which I don't like at all. When my young kids come into the room, if I have been using the tape, they smell it right away and yell "Ewwww! It's that yucky smell again!" and they run out of the room quickly.Like I said, this same manufacturer also makes the HD Clear tape (green label), and that stuff works great. It does also smell nasty, but at least I can trust it for my valuable shipments, and it's easy to "restart" if you accidentally lose the end of the tape. For the life of me, I can't understand why the manufacturer also makes this HP260 garbage. They should discontinue it and just make the HD Clear.

Super tape!!!!!
Superb tape for reinforcing foam wing model aircraft, very sticky!! although the wing might need the mold release removing first. This is much better than the f/glass reinforced tape as the adhesive is uv stabilised unlike the afore mentioned. Not to be wasted on parcels;~)

Reliable, Strong and Tangle-free
I have tried everything from Dollar Store tape to high end 3M packing tape, and not been happy. Finally tried Duck and it has all of the qualities I look for to ship our products to customer...it is strong, it doesn't rip easily (and then tangle back upon itself, and the price point is acceptable, especially when I consider how much of the cheaper tape I have wasted when it sticks to itself. Ticks all of the boxes for me; highly recommend.

Top quality tape!
I'm impressed with this tape so far, it's strong and comes off the roll almost silently. The tape is so thick you can feel it and really strong.Mainly used for packaging small boxes and satchels and it works perfectly for this application, no more tape getting wrinkled or having to apply multiple layers. The adhesion is good on every surface I've tried it on.

BEST packing tape.
Not only does it stick better than any other packing tape, it pulls and handles better than any other, which is the REAL benefit if you do a lot of packages.
