I've had no problem with this product ... yet. However it uses a sticky pad to attack to your counter or whatever instead of screws. Although It hasn't come off yet, I forsee the day that I try to open a difficult jar and end up tearing the vise off it's sticker base.I suppose I could have used a drill to add some holes and use my own screws, but the product would have got 5 stars if I wouldn't have had to do that myself.

Was disappointed because I thought it would be attached with screws instead of with adhesive. Could l exchange it for one that fastens on with screws? Thank you. Miriam Marks

still hard to open jars have trouble getting it to hold on to lids it slips out.

I had a similar model before, but broke it, and absolutely had to replace it. It is the easiest to use jar opener you will ever find. It allows you to use both hands to hold the jar and apply the force to turning it, rather than using some of your power to grip. It would be especially good for someone with less strength, like the elderly.

I've been looking for one of these for a long time to replace one I left behind in a move. With or without a husband to open jars, this is a kitchen essential. Under a cabinet, it's invisible, always in the right spot, and does its job with ease.

Such a simple devise and such a flop! They have these strips of tape to mount the Jar Vise with. Cheap tape to say the least. Didn't stick. Yes, I made sure the area was clean and dry. Not worth the effort to send it back, or the cost.

so far so good, we'll see how it holds up

I used one for nearly 20 years. Very handy simple little tool. How ever it comes with double face stick tape that don't work. Seller could have at least supplied four screws. Please see pictures.Hope that helps
