Rit Dye Powdered Fabric Dye, Black

Works great

I had some men's shorts that were fading badly. So I bought this dye to get them back to black again. It was an easy process to do. I used a bucket, so I didn't have to clean out my washing machine after using this product. I put the dye in hot water and mixed it up, then I put my shorts in and stirred them up a few minutes. Furthermore, I let them soak for a day or two, stirring occasionally. Then I drained the water off, rinsed them a few times, and then washed them in mild soap to remove any excess dye left over. They looked brand new and still have a nice black color that hopefully will be there after many washings. I would purchase this product again if I needed it.

Muy buena calidad, me gustó, pero por ejemplo si quieres pintar un Un pantalón de Jean o de pana, te recomiendo que compres al menos dos, porque con uno la pieza queda con manchas por lo menos a mí me quedó bastante manchado, aunque me gustó la estética y al final lo dejé así, pero si realmente lo que quieres es un acabado uniforme, que era el que yo al principio estaba buscando, debes de comprar dos Para que quede realmente el color y también quede sin manchas, yo lo compré negro y quedo un poco gris y con manchas y estaba pintando un pantalón de pana, si hubiese comprado 2 U hubiese quedado perfecto

Definitely let clothes set and then wash them a couple of times before you put them on your skin. Make sure to follow the instructions exactly.

I used Rit Dye a few times in the last few decades and it always worked. On different fabrics, and even dying a radio-controlled car's nylon bumper pink! But this time I followed ALL of the instructions Exactly, and... my red garment stayed... red. Lots of black water though! I don't know what changed, but I doubt I will ever use Rit Dye again.

I bought this to dye a shirt. It didn't dye the shirt a true black. It almost looked like a weird type dye job. I followed instructions. A lot of clothing is mixed fabrics so I learned that I need to buy the synthetic dye as well. Otherwise parts of your clothing will dye and other parts will stay the same color and it might look cool or not.

This still works after years. I dye my old black khaki work skirts. If you use it right the color last a long time

I used to buy this product from amazon AU and it was great. First time bought it from amazon UAE and it's not as good. But I would confess that my clothes were kind of mixed synthetic+cotton and they have already mentioned ontheir pack that this is suitable for cotton/linen products. Also try not to dye all your clothes with one pack I would say. Then yeah, I would recommand it.
