Tech Armor Privacy Ballistic Glass Screen Protector for Apple iPhone 6 / 6s (4.7-inch) [1-Pack]

I use privacy shields on my work computer, as well as my laptop, so I thought I might try similar treatment for my iPhone 6S (from which I often view work email). That said, I think I had pretty realistic expectations for the level of privacy this might provide.The installation was easy, and the fit is perfect. There is some light bleed from the edges when rotated, but that actually exists with any non-edge-to-edge glass screen protector (you just don't notice it). The edges are curved and comfortable, and the adhesive is consistent. TINY FLAW: one corner of one side of the glass surrounding the home button won't perfectly adhere, but that might have been a fingerprint that I left during installation.PRIVACY: Most importantly, the privacy feature works. At mid-brightness, text is illegible at about 45/50 degrees and beyond, so someone sitting next to you can't read it. They can make out general shapes and color, but not read it. 2-WAY: The "2-way" designation means that the privacy feature only works in portrait mode. I like this, as I often watch YouTube videos etc. (landscape) with others. If you reaaaally look closely, there are some very slight lines through the display. But if this is a deal breaker, then any privacy shield will leave you disappointed. Considering TechArmor's stellar warranty, ~$16 is a very fair price.

If you need privacy go for it.Cons...Wish that it was 360 privacy screen like their other privacy screens that are not made of ballistic glass. But hey it does okay when my brightness is really low blocking prying eyes from 👀 my screen. I trust them like I trust OtterBox. If you want 360 coverage, you may have to buy a glass screen protector, then buy the $10 360 privacy screen compatible with your phone. I did that for my iPhone 5, worked like a charm, double the protection and once the thing sticks fam it sticks! Taking it off can be a hassle so put it in right! I mean it was meant to last forever so... 🤷🏽‍♀️

The screen protector does fit very nice, it's not too big so a case doesn't push up against the screen protector (my last screen protector did that, so I had to cut it). This screen protector, if you look at the phone from the side, you can see the actual light of the phone (aka the width is just a little too small) I don't have a problem with it though.I am having trouble with the amount of pressure needed to activate the touch in the bottom left corner (aka when I touch the 123 button, it doesn't always open).I keep my phone at less than 1/4 brightness, and the privacy works really well from side to side (the sliver of light you can see from the side is not even close to be big enough to see anything on the phone itself). The privacy is not very much from top and bottom.Overall this does the job of protecting my screen from scratches and has the privacy from the sides that I was lookin for. I don't have a problem with the size of the protector, and I especially like that it doesn't run up against the case.For the pictures, the phone is ON with less than 1/4 brightness.EDIT 27Jan15: my screen protector now has scratches on it and in those spots you can notice the light escape more (like you can see on the sides) I now have two scratches and have only had my phone a month. I don't drop my phone all the time, but I also don't treat it like its glass. I did expect this to be scratch resistant, and even if it had scratches I would expect the privacy aspect to stay the same.

this screen protector is quite pricy but it is worth every single penny. I had just gotten a new iphone 6 and have always liked the privacy screens and read good reviews about this and thought "why not?" it was quite easy to install, absolutely no bubbles on the first try. the privacy of this protector isnt the best but it is pretty decent for the clarity it provides. Its true purpose is to protect the screen, which it does brilliantly. i carry my phone in my pocket, usually by itself, but sometimes ill have some keys or some change in the same pocket, and i think we all know how brutal that stuff can be on screens. this screen protector takes it all in stride, has 0 scratches from the metal objects accompanying my phone. the other day i dropped my phone on some very jagged rock (around the rail road tracks) it feel screen first. when i picked up the phone i thought i had cracked the screen. broken my brand new phone. upon closer examination i realized that the screen protector had taken all of the force and the screen of the phone was unscathed. i have since bought a new protector, and unfortunately i was sent the wrong protector and it was damaged. i intend on ordering another one. brilliant screen protector.

The glass itself is great. I wish it was a little darker. It's not a 4 way just a two way privacy. I've had the film privacy screens and they leave 'lines' in your phone screen. Just from how the privacy aspect is manufactured (they are in the film). The glass doesn't have any of that! It's wonderful. The responsiveness wasn't sacrificed on my phone. An update too. I've had this glass for several months and it cracked when I dropped my phone. Well I emailed Tech Armor to write them a review and asked how to register it for a warranty for the new glass I bought. They told me they would send me a new one for free! So it kinda had a warranty just had to send them a picture and my order #!

I suppose the quality of the product was OK, but I did not appreciate when ordering that the protector had a very dark tint. The description does not say the screen protector is tinted it just describes it as a 'privacy' screen. It gave a dark look to the images on the phone and it looked pretty naff on a rose gold iphone, might be OK with a grey one. We got a clear Anker Premium Glass screen protector as a replacement and put the tinted one in the bin.
