Kenwood Kna-G610 Hideaway Garmin GPS Navigation System

The product was shipped quickly and recieved in good shape. It took about an hour to install and works great. Wish I had bought in the begining but Garmin makes a great product, nice add on for my stereo.

This is a great product but very pricey compared to other navigation systems. It is nice having it integrated into the stereo system which enables some special features but you must justify the cost for yourself. I am extremely satisfied with this product but the price is questionable!

This was a grewat addon to my Kenwood DDX-896. It was a super easy install and it works great. I do wish it would show the names of the streets that I am passing. Other than that is is great.

This is a great Kenwood add on, it was easy to install and works just like the portable units.In fact, i replaces my portable Kenwood Gps with this unit. They are identical in operation.I don't like the SALES ADDS that pop up in the new Kenwood units though.I am trying to find a way to turn off the sales pop ups in the Kenwood GPS units.SALES ADDS on the screen are very annoying, Kenwood should stop this practice or let the customer know about the sales adds before purchase.This way i could have had the option to purchase a different GPS unit from a another company that don't install sales adds in the GPS

As I was hoping this product meshed perfectly with my KVT-516 receiver. The interface is just like the portable Garmin units I've had, but I love the level of integration with the Kenwood receiver. Your chosen source (Sirius, Receiver, etc) continues to play and is only interrupted for directions. You can keep the map up or go back to your original source depending on your preference and switching between them is simple. There is a built in NAV button on the receiver front panel that allows you to quickly bring the map up for the occasions where the voice-commands are not going to cut it. About the only change I would make is to have the voice commands play over the top of the source rather than temporarily cutting off the source, but that's trivial. Overall, a great product and highly recommended if you have a compatible receiver.

After purchasing a Kenwood DDX616 unit, and associated Kenwood KNA-G610 navigation module, powered by Garmin, for the ability to update future maps via the SD card slot, I've learned that the Garmin Kenwood support team is unable to resolve a problem of continuous rebooting of the system. After two weeks of troubleshooting with their "experts," they've told me "We've put a request in to our Engineer's and it may take up to a few months to even get a response back from them." It's very disappointing to learn that my navigation maps may never be updated, despite that being the reason for my purchase of the unit. Garmin and Kenwood need to get their acts together if they plan to offer products to the public that are not falsely advertised. Very disappointing.

Works great. Must do the updates. Just google Kna-G610 and down load the updates on a memory card. Follow the instructions.
