Easy to Install. No spacers needed. (Updated)
I installed this on my new RadPower RadMission ebike. By the time I raised the seat to the level I like (which admittedly is fairly high because I like a lot of leg extension when I pedal), the seat was a few inches higher than the handlebars. I am most comfortable when the seat at handlebars are at about the same height. I purchased the Delta Stem Raiser to correct that problem. It was easy to install and the handlebars are now at exactly the right height. The brake and other cables were plenty long enough, so not extensions or replacements were needed. The real test will be my ride tomorrow. Update coming. Update: First ride today on my RadMission ebike with the Delta Stem Raiser. Worked perfectly. The additional few inches of handlebar height improve the comfort of my ride. A very worthwhile purchase. Update #2: I have now done several rides with the Delta Stem Raiser installed. My initial positive opinion has been confirmed. The product is rock solid. No flexing, nothing has come loose, and the riding position is much improved. So much so that I have increased the distance of my daily rides from about 6.5-7 miles to 10-11 miles. Bottom-line: If you have a bike with handlebars a few inches too low for optimal comfort, this is the answer.

A Lifesaver for a serious older cyclist
As an older cyclist (soon to be 65) this extender has been a life saver! I ride 30 to 40 miles daily and I can no longer ride hunched without experiencing back pain so I decided to put this on one of my TREK bikes and man what a difference! It has made my riding enjoyable again, no back pain (those 2 or 3 inches make a huge difference) and it is very sturdy and we'll made. On top of that it is so easy to install I was done in less than 5 minutes. I have installed them on my Marin, my TREK Domane, my TREK Checkpoint and I already have one ready to install on my brand new bike I will be gifting to myself for my 65th birthday. Probably the best money I have ever spent!

Works well...
What a difference a little added handlebar height has added to my hybrid comfort level and visibility. This was easier to install than I thought. It fit securely and looks good. The only reason it did not rate five stars is due to the recessed bolt that a typical bike tool will not reach. Fortunately, I found an extension that worked in my socket set, but I'll bet a lot of people had to spend extra money for a long handle 5mm allen wrench.

The Delta Riser is Good Enough for Sheldon Brown
The Cannondale bicycle factory whacked off my steerer tube leaving me with no cure for handlebars way below saddle level. I stewed and suffered with this for several years. My local bike shop finally suggested this Delta riser. I thought seriously about it and then dismissed the idea as being too much of an eyesore on my immaculate bike. I began to revisit the idea when I saw a photo online of the commuter bike Sheldon Brown (of Harris Cyclery fame) was using at the time of his death. The photo seemed to show a Dela riser on Sheldon's titanium commuter. I ordered one from Amazon. The Delta unit is overbuilt, in my opinion. The metal is thicker than the metal on my Richie stems. The machine work and gloss finish are both impressive. I had not expected such a carefully made product. However, it was too tight to fit down onto my aluminum Cannondale steerer. I used a tiny drum sander on a Dremel tool to open up the Delta enough to fit. No problem. I slipped on my Richie stem and measured the thickness of spacers I would need. I used a pair of carbon fiber spacers. On the bottom spacer I used the same Dremel drum sander to create a bevel which precisely fit the bevel on the Delta unit. The Delta is glossy and the spacers are glossy. You would have to be awfully picky to say the total visual effect is not good. I'm pleased that I went this route.

An easy way to sit more upright
Very easy to install with very straight forward instructions, I like that as I am a detailed person. Since I am so detailed and my stem shows exact torque for the bolts, I would prefer that instead of the stem riser instructions saying "Tighten side bolts to snug fit so that you cannot rotate it, do not over-tighten", I would rather they let you know that later you will tighten these same bolts to a specific torque. If I read the instructions carefully, word for word, I can figure out what they mean because they tell you later to tighten the bolts on the stem riser to 10Nm. They leave it up to you to tighten the actual stem to the proper suggested torque shown on most stems even though they only say, "Attach stem to upper portion of Stem Raiser". All in all I think the instructions are very good. This riser gave me just enough rise in the handle bars to take the weight off my hands and lift my head enough to be much more comfortable. I have only done a 30 minute test ride so I will have to see what a much longer ride produces for comfort.

World of Difference
I installed the Delta stem riser on my 2013 Motobecane Fantom 29er COMP. Before I did, I asked bike shop personnel about changing cables. One guy said that with a stem riser, 90% of bikes require cable replacement. I was reluctant to pay to have it done. Also I was reluctant to replace the cables on my own; never tried, nor did I want to on my brand new $700 bike. But I bought it anyway. I decided to install it and then figure out the cable issue. When I did, there was no cable issue. Even at the highest position, the handlebar turned fine. All the cables still had slack. I beat all the odds. Ever since my riding has become much more comfortable. I can sit upright much easier, with less strain on my back and neck. For those mountain bikers that do more back or open road riding than switchbacks, it definitely improves the quality of the ride. I would buy it any day. Lastly, installation was quick and simple.

BEST ON THE MARKET BY FAR!
This Bike Stem Raiser Handlebar Extender by Delta Cycle is fantastic! It is T6 alloy and CNC machined, anodized (not cheap painted) and is high quality unlike the cheapo less expensive junk being sold that has aluminum that seems more like melted down beer can aluminum and painted black, and tightening the bolts strip them out and don't tighten as one should. Yes - This Bike Stem Raiser Handlebar Extender by Delta Cycle is pricey, but you definitely get the quality needed as opposed to sub-par quality cheap versions. Highly recommend this if you need a riser. Much more safe and secure.
