Works with T-Mobile LTE Bands - Updated due to software issues
FINAL UPDATE:After reaching out to Chris with techtablets who usually reviews these import tablets we ruled out that he was having a similar experience and his tablet was benching correctly. On a whim I restored to factory one more time and began testing and everything worked fine. Put my sim back in from my other tablet and immediately saw degradation. After several e-mail exchanges with Chris we ruled out that it was LTE in general since his tablet was testing fine with LTE. So it seemed like it might be related to USA carriers (he's in europe) or perhaps specifically t-mobile USA. When exchanging screen shots he noticed my tablet was picking up VOLTE (voice over LTE) which is one thing they do NOT have in his region, he proposed turning off enhanced lte (it's on my default) to see if that changed anything. Lo and behold, with ehanced LTE off the VOLTE logo no longer appears, the tablet isn't getting "hot" like it was previously, the battery drain went away, and it stopped having constant crashes when attempting to multitask (split view or PIP).So for whatever reason, if your carrier supports enhanced LTE (which I think is mainly just voice over lte) you will probably need to turn that off. There appears to be some kind of bug/glitch at least on T-Mobile that if ehnahced LTE is left on the tablet gets hot (compared to normal), the battery will drain like crazy, benchmark scores are cut in half, and everything runs slower and often crashes. With that problem out of the way I go back to saying that for the price of around $150 you cannot get a better tablet with LTE support in the USA. All the previous limitations still apply (older version of android without likelihood of updates, merely "ok" display without any scratch protection glass, overall value build quality, etc.) That doesn't make this a bad buy at all, it just means it has limitations but if your expectations are fair theres not really any other tablet on the market at this price point to compare it to.I'll leave my full review because the issue isn't really "fixed" so much as you can avoid this particular set of circumstances (enhanced LTE services on T-Mobile and perhaps other US based carriers) by tweaking the default settings.----Everything I wrote below still stands but after about a week with the device, loading my usual apps, and just spending more "time" with it I need to greatly revise my review score. After having a lot of crashes, hangups, and issues with PIP (picture in picture) and even split view causing regular crashes and "hangs" I decided to benchmark the tablet. Using the Geekbench installed straight out of google play store the tablet was scoring only 800 single core. If you compare this chipset to phones and other devices it's in, even devices with less memory, that single core score is half of what the X27 should be scoring. The multi score is also about half of what other devices are getting. Now this is likely 100% fixable with updates to the ROM/Firmware but in my experience with these chinese brand tablets, you can only expect the device to perform exactly as it did on release. I'm not saying they never get patches or updates but it''s rare. This device feels like it was pushed out the door with an early/alpha rom that was not properly configured. Theres really no other explanation for the apple to apple performance of the Helio X27 in this device. Again it was never meant to be a flagship level chipset but in this particular device it's benchmarking slower then even a snapdragon 625. To put that into context, the 625 only has "low performance" cores (A53), a bunch of them but slower and lower performance. The Helio X27 also has these cores as it's mid to low level performance but has a pair of much faster and higher performance A72 cores. The X27 should be posting single core performance approximately 2x faster than a snapdragon 625 and in this particular tablet its actually running LOWER. It's just a guess but my gut tells me for some reason this device (the M8) is NOT engaging the A72 cores and instead is only running the 4 A53 cores. The 625 runs all eight of it's A53 cores at 2ghz, while the X27 only runs one quad at that speed and the other quad at 1.6ghz. So only speculating but based on my 625 tablet benching slightly higher (only marginally but again, the X27 should DOUBLE the single core due to the A72) I'm guessing the A72 cores are completely dormant and the older 625 tablet is running faster because it has 8 of those older cores and all of them are running at once and at 2ghz. If alldocube can patch/correct this I think the M8 is back to being a five star product because if the X27 was running as designed and scoring 1600 single core and using those A72s it would smoke the snapdragon 625 and for a ridiculously low price. Until than I would say buyer beware because any kind of multitasking just causes this thing to tank (i.e. spotify skipping playbale while running google maps or waze navigation).-------I'm a long time purveyor of Chinese imports having owned my own handful Chuwi, Teclast, Jumper, and Alldocube devices. This lst time around I was looking for a T-Mobile compatible tablet and considering how poor T-Mobiles official line up is (either a dirt cheap garbage tablet or a $800 samsung premium tablet) for android devices I decided to start looking at alternatives. I initially tried the Lenovo Tab 4 Plus but only after buying and finding out that Lenovo is only updating the wifi and NON-USA (i.e. global) variiants to Oreo and leaving the USA version on Nougat that also wasn't going to work. So wanting an 8" android tablet with Oreo (or newer) and compatible LTE bands you have a very short list. I knew of the M8 but was not willing to roll the device on a direct import for fear the LTE bands would be a complete mismatch. So that out of the way I can now gladly confirm the M8 is picking up T-Mobile LTE around Pierce County and King County western washington. I don't think it has any abilty to pickup on the newer expanded frequencies (but neither did the Lenovo).Tablet wise it's your typical "value" android tablet, 1920x1200 resolution display, 3 gigs of ram, and enough performance for regular tasks like google maps, spotify, youtube/netflix etc. It does have limits for things like Widevine support so netflix is only going to be 480p for instance. In my use case though the priorities were LTE Band support for T -mobile, Android 8 (or higher), and more than 2 gigs of ram (4 would be ideal but again for the price). If you are familiar with chinese tablets then you won't find any surprises here... Factory includes a screen protector because it's just regular soda lime glass, so no fancy gorilla glass. The display is not laminated so there is a small gap between the digitizer, glass, and LCD panel, etc. None of this should be a surprise given the price point but again just caveat emptor, you don't get a tablet with these spec's and LTE at this price point without some minor corner cutting.System is android 8 (not 8.1) and the security patch is only through Febuary 5th 2018. So I wouldn't use this as a primary device, do banking on it, or anything that highly sensitive. The lenovo I've been referring to is a more recent security patch (December 18th 2018) but it's stuck on Nougat so it's all relative. At the end of the day the market for Android tablets sucks, the market for android tablets with LTE modems is even worse. So Beggars can't be choosers. If you want a laminated display, contemporary patches, and better long term support get the Samsung S4. If you can live with the slightly older version of android, the unlikely hood of future patches, and have a use case that is compatible than you still get a lot of device here. I mainly wanted a tablet I could use in the car for google maps and spotify and for that limited use case this thing is a champ. If you want a LTE tablet that your kids can watch netflix and youtube on in the car or when out and about? still a champ. If you want a LTE tablet as your main device and you want to use your online banking apps, pay utility bills, and do other activities that might lead to serious security implications? look elsewhere. The price is right for whats here.

Very good for the price
I don't game so I can't speak about frame rates and all of that. Other than that, the Alldocube M8 is quick with no lag and Android 8.0. The M8 came with a screen protector but made the display slightly dull and fuzzy. After removing the screen protector the display is bright and crisp. The downside to no protector is finger prints but I can live with that. Battery time is good, decent. It does have SIM and phone capability but I am not using that.M8:Storage 3/32 GBHeadphone JackUSB Micro Charge Port-NOT USB-CAndroid 8.01920x1200 resolution

Only buy this if you will be always plugged in and never outside
I ended up returning this tablet even though on paper it seems like it should be a good unit for the price. Unfortunately, all the name brand manufacturers have given up on the mid-range tablet. But this is not an viable alternative. The screen is better than HD but even inside it is only medium bright, forget about seeing anything at all if you are outdoors. The sound is nothing special and comes from a single speaker on the bottom of the tablet. But the deal breaker for me was the battery. A 5500 mAH battery should be sufficient for a tablet this size but this one would not even last overnight with the screen off, WIFI on and only 3 or 4 apps installed. Also be aware that these off brand Chinese companies typically NEVER issue updates for Android OS and even worse I have never seen a security pack update once they leave the factory.

Wow they lied big-time!
Well they lied! This has around 2gbs of RAM, not 3! It also does not have a high gigahertz 8 core processor, it's more like 4 core 1.2 or 1.3 gigahertz processor! How do I know? I played the exact same game on both my cellphone and this junk, side by side. My wimpy J series Samsung with 2 gigs of ram and 1.3 gigahertz quad processor was FASTER!Also the battery tends to overheat and lasts less than half the time of my cellphone and Amazon tablet.

Great specs, cheap speaker and bluetooth streaming audio
Specs are great for the CPU, memory and IPS screen. My biggest issue with this tablet is the CHEAP internal speaker that sounds like something out of McDonald's toy. But I would of been ok living with that as I bluetooth stream to my car stereo or portable JBL speaker. But for some reason the streaming audio also sounds HORRIBLE and I am not sure why. Is it the DSP processor? When streaming to my car stereo it sounds very tinny and cheap when it should be full on stereo, surround, etc. If this tablet didn't skimp on those basics then I would have no problem with the no gorilla glass and other cost cutting elements. They skimped too much and it cost them this sale. I already started the return. I do not recommend this tablet if you want normal sounding audio.
