My son needed eight 3-ring binders for middle school. Heck, no! We got this instead. It holds all the materials for eight classes: folders, dividers, 3-ring paper, music books, even a mesh pouch for his headphones! There is an expanding file system in there, which is perfection for holding sheet music, his planner, regular notebooks and important forms. We also ordered a plastic pouch for his pencils, pens, compass, etc that hooks to the O-rings. What I love about this binder is that the folder edges don't catch in the zipper. They fit inside. It has a nice shoulder strap, which my son doesn't use, because he uses the small handle on the side. We ordered three different brands of binders and this was by far the best. The one he started with 3 months ago (the most popular brand of binder) had a broken zipper within a month and the folder edges caught when trying to zip it up. I know this won't happen with this behemoth because it's STURDY. Mind you, this monster is really thick (4" to be exact), and may be too large for your purpose. But for a middle schooler who doesn't want to deal with multiple 3-ring binders, this baby rocks! This binder also eliminates multiple trips to his locker. From one frazzled mom to another, go ahead and order this zippered piece of awesomeness with confidence, load it up with all your stuff, and don't worry about a crappy zipper that breaks or gets stuck on the folder corners. You can thank me later!

Yup, this is huge and a huge value. It’s way less expensive than binders I found at local mortar stores. I have to keep up with taking care of things for myself and a few family members. I often lose tablets and bits of papers that have important information on them. This binder allows me to keep all my scraps and notes in one place. The three ring binder side lets me have dividers for the different notes I have to keep and the expanding file on the left lets me organize things that are either Almost done or have a temporary lapse. I really like the expanded file because when I put things in my file cabinet. I often forget about them, but them being there when I open the binder serve as a reminder. The cost was extremely reasonable and the quality of the nylon Case seems very strong the zippers haven’t torn away or snagged. I would recommend the binder to anybody.

The product description is pretty accurate for this item. The great things are the rings seem very strong. The downside with that is I would NOT recommend this to someone with arthritis or dexterity problems. It does take quite a bit of force to open the rings. I'm hoping that would mean they will be less likely to separate, which is a common problem for ring binders. The zipper moves with ease. I chose the D ring option so papers would all be nicely aligned, but there is an O ring style available that you can choose before adding to your cart. It also has a full size zipper pocket on the outside. It has a full size slide in pocket behind the rings as well as a half size mesh slide in pocket. There is a nice zipper pocket in front of the expandable file for small item storage. However, I don't feel this product will pass long term durability testing in one area. The fabric is very thin compared to other binders on the market. The file expander plastic is also very thin and mimics other low quality products on the market that rip very easy, becoming useless. It also doesn't have protection on the bottom to prevent small papers or items from sliding out. This won't present a problem if using full or half sheets of paper though. If you plan to just use this for item storage in the house, then this would be a great zippered binder. It is the first zippered 4 inch I have found. But I wouldn't recommend this for kids or daily use.

HUGE! Quality binder! Came with the colored folders inside!

My daughter needed a bigger binder that had a strap on it since she has to carry so much to class and they are not allowed to have backpacks in class any longer (which is stupid). So, I found this one and ordered it. First, it is HUGE. She is able to fit all of her notebooks and paper inside it, plus a pencil bag for art, two library books and her chromebook for school. There are so many pockets that zip so she can keep other important things, like her inhaler, inside without worrying about them getting broken or falling out. And the whole thing has a zipper around the outside so nothing can fall out as she's walking. Second, it comes with a shoulder strap and a handle. The strap is adjustable which is great since she's a tiny gal. It makes it easy for her to just sling it over her shoulder and go. So far, it has held up great. I'll update this review later in the semester to see how it holds up. Overall, I'm impressed with it for the money. There are a ton of them that are easily double or triple the price of this one and they didn't have everything on it that she wanted. If you're looking for a very large trapper keeper like this, I'd highly recommend this one.

I have to give props where props are due, and this product has earned it. Bought for my granddaughter last year for school. It stood the test of time, and she is ROUGH with stuff and over stuffs it with books and papers. Bought her a new bag this year and she ended up not liking it so dragged this one out of her closet. It's now going into its 2nd school year of being abused and still holding up!

The folder strap failed ripped and frayed) within weeks of use. The zipper works but the rings bend to misalignment easily.
