I was a little nervous buying this because some of the reviews mentioned an odor. I never had this problem.The hamper is really big. I separate my workout clothes from my regular clothes, and it works out great. It easily holds four loads. The color is neutral enough to go with nearly any decor. Even though the hamper comes flat for shipping, it is actually very sturdy. Definitely the best hamper I have ever owned.I should note, however, that I don't take this to the laundry room. I transfer the clothes to a portable basket to take down to the laundry room. If you're doing the same, or if you are leaving it in a room with the washing machine and dryer, I would highly recommend it. I can't speak to how well it moves if you're planning on carrying it to a different room each time you do a wash. However, I don't get the impression this hamper was designed with portability in mind because it's pretty big.I'm very happy with it and would recommend it.

This is a beautiful, simple hamper for keeping your dirty, stinky clothes contained. The magnetic lid actually works to keep the top neatly closed. I use the dual hampers to separate my dirty clothes based on my hierarchy of favorites. The "must be washed soon" goes on the left and the "maybe I'll wash these later" clothes go on the right. The entire hamper easily folds up flat when empty and is very sturdy when put together. Assembly was as simple as zipping up the material on the bottom and unfolding the hamper. My only (minor) frustration with this product was when I first received it in the mail, the zipper teeth had a bit of trouble connecting at the spot where it was folded for packaging/shipping. Only took me 30 seconds of persistence to get the zipper to come together and zip right up. Would buy again and recommend to others. I purchased this hamper nine years ago. For the most part it has served me well. The color matches the product photos (not sure why that one review said it's green, it's definitely what I would describe as "coffee"). It's a good size and fits clothes with room to spare by the time I get to laundry day. It has never smelled weird, looks good, and has a divider inside to separate clothes. I like that the lining is plastic, rather than cloth, so it doesn't pick up smells or dampness. The magnetic closure is a nice idea but in practice doesn't really seem necessary.I would have no issue recommending this hamper to others, unless you have cats. I have had four different cats over the lifespan of this hamper and all of them have seemed drawn to scratching it. This is the main reason I'm now replacing it, as the exposed corners have been shredded. The cats also love jumping on top of it, but the lid is not quite sturdy enough to hold them so it ends up caving in and freaking them out (you'd think they'd learn by now).So, this is a serviceable hamper, but probably best to go with a different material if you have cats.

I never thought I would be so happy with the purchase of a hamper. I used to have a walk in closet, but recently downsized and a laundry basket on my bedroom floor was unsightly and a bit smelly. After comparing all the various options, including high end furniture types, I decided to try this less expensive hamper since it had high reviews.I was initially concerned about the magnet top because I thought it would be flimsy and cumbersome and flop around. The back of the top is velcro and stays put well. The body and top are substantially sturdy and heavy and nothing about this hamper is flimsy. You could probably use it as a nightstand. The bottom of each side has a zipper so you could probably empty in that manner although I haven't had it long enough to get to that stage.The brown is very attractive and has flecks of tan and is a bit textured. I was worried it would be smooth and show pet hair, but that is not the case.

The odor problem was mentioned in other reviews, but other people did not have this problem so I was hoping to be one of the lucky ones. Unfortunately, there was a very strong odor.... the closest thing to it is rotten mangos--nauseatingly sweet, rotten smell-- (quite unpleasant and permeated the bathroom and beyond it). I sprayed it with Oust... Once the Oust smell dissipated, the smell was stronger (worst then before). I had read another review that said to put it outside in the sun. That seemed to help the most. The smell is much fainter now. Although, we did spray it with febreeze, and again when febreeze's scent wore off, the bad smell was stronger than before. Somehow getting it wet seems to make the smell worse. Other than the smell, I have no complaints. It's pretty sturdy and does what it says it will do. Hopefully, someone else who buys the product will not have the same problem. If you do, put it out in the sun as spraying it with things makes the smell much worse.
