after modification to door bracket to fit these ... then you realize auto unlocking touch sensor can not be used AND now the OEM handle cannot be reinstalled due to modification . (2010 4runner limited)

This handle cover obstructs the section that allows for locking the door. Since the handle has a proximity sensor that allows for touching and locking the handle when you are standing near it with your keys, this cover blocks it so it won't function.
