Works great
Expands to about 3-4 inches. The different colors make it easier to tell where one file ends and another begins in the storage box. They do eventually tear with heavy use. However, at this price, it's reasonable to replace them if and when they tear. I think they are a good value for the money.

Perfect!!
Love these pocket folders. Sturdy, easy to open, and they hold quite a lot of paper - plus since it has sides, small receipts don’t fall out.

Flimsy
They tore at corners. Too thin

Great for organizing beige manila folders,
I’ve used to consolidate/group assorted files, like house concern: repairs, warranties, sewer, etc , etc. those beige manila files are now inside green folders (fit just fine).Easily marked purpose with a large black sharpie (old eyes). My brightest idea of the week and worth every penny.

Material really not thick enough to hold multiple papers without ripping
It is not unrealistic to expect that these folders should be able to hold a volume of paper that isn't straining the size, and therefore should not rip. So far, every folder has torn at the base. Even if you put the papers in the folder very carefully, in daily use they will likely start tearing. The problem appears to to occur when you put the papers into the folder without carefully unfolding the crease in advance. An accordion design probably is more robust. I was drawn the the colors and the lower price.

these are nice folders, hold a lot and with prices what they are today, it was okay for price.
The colors help for sorting particular things if you need to create categories -- I do, so this is perfect for me. I also like that they expand enough to hold a good deal of paper. Another reason I bought them was the capacity -- and it works. I have lots of things to file, and needed something that would hold it all together. Files with open sides just tend to be difficult to handle if they have a lot of paper in them. This keeps it together, no messy spills of paper all over the floor. I do wish they had other colors, some more modern pastels would be nice.
