Absolutely fantastic clay, should have tried it sooner!

This is the clay my professor reccomended and its so smooth. It feels like polymer clay, thats how soft it is. Easy to use. However id buy from your local clay store. These 10lbs were not worth the $27 i paid. I could get 50lbs of this clay for $20. Edit 9/11/2021: I'm seeing a few reviewers complaining about mold in their clay. That's completely natural and good for your clay! Remember that clay is earth, it has natural minerals in it along with things that create mold. It's what makes your clay smooth and stick together as well. In my ceramics class in college, we made our own clay from scratch with left over clay in buckets from previous semesters. All of them had mold, its completely safe on your hands, just knead the clay. Dont be afraid of it.

Was not easy to work with. Did alot of crazing. But it could be because I wasn't familiar with working it.

AMAZING!! Almost reminds me of porcelain. That super soft, cream cheese like consistency is something I did not expect! Excited to throw with it. Shipping was relatively fast, considering I had this 50lb. box shipped across the country! I did pay for a faster shipping method ($4.99 extra paid for delivery in 3-5 business days) and it was delayed. I contacted the seller, and they initiated a refund of my additional shipping cost, which was greatly appreciated! Ordered on 11/14/20 — shipped 2000+ miles — received 11/23/20. So technically only 6 business days! For the price, with decently fast shipping included, and the high quality of the clay... you cannot go wrong with this. Will update review after working with clay on the wheel & firing to give further thoughts... but my first impression of it is fantastic!!

This clay is great! So far I love it, it was moist, not dried out even slightly and it was a dream to throw with. Interested to see how it does through the drying and firing process. Also a side note, I saw some negative reviews because the clay came moldy. If your a potter then you would know that that is very normal as it is being stored moist. The mold can be wedged right into the clay without a problem. Some people even believe it makes the elasticity of the clay even better. So bring on the mold. Lol I live in Hawaii and it’s expensive to get pottery supplies shipped here so this was a great value for the money. So happy I found this product.

Pretty good clay, I’ve bought this a few times now that I’ve gotten used to working with it. 1 box I got had a lot of air bubbles to work out and even then I still had some issues using it for slab pieces. My most recent boxes came damaged and falling apart so that’s a big bummer. Other than that it’s been really smooth and easy to work with on the wheel.

First time buying this clay and pleasantly surprised! Soft and easy to throw out of the bag! I made a 14" pasta serving bowl and a 14" serving dish to match. No cracks at all in greenware phase. Will bisque in a few days. I see a bunch of "complaints" about mold on the clay. This is a moist clay and that is normal. Mold adds plasticity to clay, just wedge it in. I know potters who intentionally try to let their clay mold for this reason. Same as a slip/scraps bucket.
