War for Armageddon: The Omnibus (Warhammer 40,000) Paperback – August 7, 2018

Book is awesome, just got into 40k and this book really puts you behind the helm of the Astartes. A great collection of works on the 3rd war for Armageddon!

As the title says this collection is amazing, we’ll worth the price, almost 900 pages on the kindle edition and the vast majority of high quality.

Aaron Dembski-Bowden is Black Library's best writer. Dan Abnett is what brought me into 40k, with the Guant's Ghost series and then his Inquistor trilogy. Those are some of Black Library's best stories. I then stumbled upon a 3rd Armageddon movie on YouTube. It 2 hours plus, but I was enraptured by that story in a way no Space Marine story has ever gripped me and that led me to this omnibus.I bought this omni for the ADB Grimaldus story and then short story that rounds out his time on Armageddon. It was worth 21 dollars. The way ADB pulls you into the mind of the Reclusiarch and the Black Templars has made them my second favorite chapter after the Salamanders.Merek Grimaldus is promoted from company chaplain to chapter Reclusiarch at the beginning of the story. It weighs heavy on him, but never says from his duty. He is hates his assignment, but never says away from it. The Black Templars are a crusading chapter and to defend is anathema to them. Grimaldus has to defend a hive on Armageddon from the largest Ork Invasion force ever assembled against the imperium. This is the premium 40k fiction.None of the stories in this omnibus are terrible, and are worth reading but the best one, by far, are the Grimaldus stories. He might be my favorite 40k Chaplain. Those two stories are worth the price of admission. Trust me!

I have read probably 40-50 Warhammer 40k books and I think this one is my favorite. Good story, great main character, and sprinkled with tales of heroism and sacrifice throughout.

For those picky Warhammer 40k fans who have a hard time picking books of quality after reading gems like the Horus Heresy, Eisenhorn and Ravenor omnibuses, Gaunt's Ghosts, etc. Right up there in superior quality of writing. Fantastic collection of books and short stories by some of the Black Library's best authors.

Amazing condition and great price.

I was so disappointed when I got to the end of this HUGE omnibus to find that the whole thing really basically focuses on the Black Templars and they never - NEVER - get to the main boss of multiple wars for Armageddon. I have been dying to read more about Thraka and these campaigns and this was not it. That being said, it wasnt a bad compilation and I did enjoy the stories but it was a TON of buildup with no payout.

Got this for myself after watching the Helsreach series on Youtube. Great collection of stories and books that give a awesome understanding of the Black Templars from Warhammer 40k. The stories paint a rich back history of the Black Templars and their Eternal Crusade. The first book is the basis for the Helsreach series and a great companion for visual appeal.

Hellsreach is a black templars fan's dream. Titans, orks and templars what more could you want. The short stories give you different perceptions on the green skin invasion. All in all even just for the Hellreach story it's worth the money.

Top draw book from Black Library. My favourite is still Night Lords Collection but this sits well up there. If you like 40k, this book is for you.

Absolutely top of the line 40K action really good especially if you are a space marines (particularly black templars) or orks fan. Really good varied story lines of war on a grand scale, overall a great collection the only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars is the massive over use of the word PORCINE in relation to the orks.
