I purchased this pill cutter for our cats’ medications because we sometimes need to divide their tablets to administer the prescribed dosage. The blade gives us much more control than trying to break pills by hand, especially when working with very small tablets. It has also been very helpful for my wife, who takes levothyroxine for her thyroid. Her dosage can change, so she sometimes needs to divide a very small tablet into several portions. This cutter makes that process much easier and more organized. I like having a pill cutter, crusher, and small storage compartment combined in one compact product. It is easy to grip, does not take up much space, and is convenient to keep nearby or pack for a trip. Of course, we only split or crush a medication when a doctor or veterinarian has confirmed that it is appropriate. This simple device has become genuinely useful in our home, both for our cats’ dosages and for my wife’s medication. It makes a frequent task more manageable and helps us keep everything organized with less stress.

I have a really hard time swallowing pills, I just wasn't able to do it even when I got sick in my youth. Recently I've had to take pills as there was no liquid form of medicine and this was a life saver! The top portion opens up and you're able to cut the pills into quarters if need be, but the best part is the lower compartment, just put the pill in and close it the twisting action grinds the pill into fine powder! Making it easier to mix into whatever helps you take those meds. I highly recommend!

This device functions well as designed when new. Pill cutting works well, and the pill crushing portion works well although it is a bit harder to crush than other devices which have a more angled inner piece to focus pressure on the pill being crushed. This is not a show stopper as it does work. I removed one star because the bottom storage section, although very nice with a 4-way divider to store pill pieces, has a low tolerance for staying closed when the plastic is chilled to below 40 degrees F to simulate use in cold climates. If you don't intend to use it when cold then no problem, but just be aware of this if you do use it in a cold environment such as traveling. Not all of us use these indoors at room temperature all the time.

After hospital discharge in 2017 I needed to crush, grind or pulverize all pills for tube feeding. The discharge nurse gave me the RED pill crusher that had been with me for the past 9 days. She also gifted a second one 'just in case''. It worked flawlessly for the next 5 months until the G.Tube was removed. Thereafter I used the crusher once daily for two tablets I was not able to swallow. Lasted until 2024. The teeth on the grinder were worn out. So I am still using the spare crusher. I just found the same RED crusher on Amazon at a reasonable price. The model sent by Amazon was/is the same, right down to the name inscribed.

I have just purchased my fifth one of these. I bought it for my girlfriend and I had it sent to her house. I have a given these as gifts to my friends and relatives because this is the perfect pill cutter. This has the cutter, the smasher, the cup to put liquid in to swallow the pill, and the bottom stores the pills. Right now I have one in my dog's medicine bag because she has pills that need to be cut and given twice a day. I have one in my medicine bag for my pills. They are so sturdy. I have had one for several years and it still works great. There are others on the market that don't have all of the above mentioned parts. They just cut pills. I highly recommend this pill cutter.

Pros: it does wha it says split pills, crush pills and store them. Cons: The design could of be better. Definitely dont use it to hold pills the storage section is not secure and the slightest touch you're plls will go flying everywhere. The twist to crush pills compartment takes a couple tries it doesn't crush all the pills at once every time. Also, if you have mobility issues with your hands it could be difficult to use the twist to cush the pills

When I first got it I was not impressed, I was trying to grind two pills at a time. I switched to one pill and it’s a top notch tool. I bought it to grind with pills for my dog, so I won’t need to do it every day and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something I would only use for a week. It is Exactly what I needed.

Pour ce qui est de l'écrase médicament, les picots font que le médicament a quasiment disparu, pas facile pour récupérer la poudre! L'objet est joli en rouge mais il y a beaucoup mieux comme broyeur de comprimés!
