HIGHLY Recommended!
This little bluetooth receiver is AWESOME! I have it connected to a custom, built-in audio system (quad-channel Monsoon MM-2000) in my bar and it sounds killer! We can connect to it via iPhones, iPad, Android phones, you name it, and it is THE fastest connecting bluetooth device I've ever used. Audio quality is excellent, for a bluetooth receiver, and it STAYS connected to whatever the device might be for DAYS at a time. NO drop-outs or disconnects EVER! Setup is a snap and you connect to it just like any other device. The device name is 'UNIFY' in the list of available bluetooth devices. For SO LITTLE MONEY, I'm stunned at the quality of this little receiver. I leave it plugged into the power adapter all the time, so I can't speak to how long a charge might last. I just don't want to have to keep track of how long it's been powered up or how long a charge might last. Just one less thing to worry about. Normally, I have my LG V10 cell phone plugged into the sound system. It has a 24-bit/192KHz DAC in it and I have a few hundred 24-bit/192KHz FLAC files stored on a 128GB SDHC card inside my phone. I can definitely hear the difference between streaming via bluetooth and the direct / hard-wired connection (high quality 1/8" cable between my phone and the audio system input) between my phone and the Monsoon audio system. For MOST people, the bluetooth sound quality is excellent and MOST people can't hear any difference. I have been an audiophile for DECADES though and I can definitely hear the difference. Still, the sound quality this little bluetooth receiver provides is EXCELLENT and if I just want to have music playing and I'm NOT doing any serious listening, I use this UNITY bluetooth receiver to connect and I'm perfectly happy with it. It's VERY compact (actually tiny), comes with cables, charger and everything you need to get up and running immediately. Sound quality is excellent, it connects VERY quickly and reliably and I can't find ANY fault in this little gem. HIGHLY recommended!

Best choice among Bluetooth receivers with similar affordances
UPDATE: After several months of frequent use, I am THRILLED to report that this device works perfectly for my needs. No issues with device connection, lag, or volume control; duration of use with each charge is superb; and sound quality continues to be better than with other manufacturers. In addition, the Etekcity does not continually search for other bluetooth-enabled devices in the area. See details from my initial review below. I teach line dance from a fairly large stage, using recreation center audio equipment that requires manual connection to my iPod. I wasted a lot of time running back and forth from center to side stage starting, stopping, and/or correcting volume of my music. On the advice of a fellow instructor I started using a small Bluetooth receiver so I can carry the iPod in a beltpack, and I use the device exclusively for this purpose. When I replaced my iPod with a 7th Generation—now only 6 months old—my original receiver started to struggle, mostly with excessive connection lag that made volume control a real problem. I replaced the receiver with another brand that had fairly high reviews but inconsistently suffered the same lag (though neither Bluetooth receiver struggles with my older iPhone and iPad, and neither the receiver manufacturer nor Apple Support could explain why this might be the case). After reading yet more reviews from multiple sources, I recently purchased the Etekcity Bluetooth receiver, which cost a bit more but is definitely worth it. The receiver paired instantly with my iPod. My husband and I immediately tested at home using a pair of wired earbuds, and it maintained consistent connection and volume control, through walls, from one end of our large single story house to the other. I’ve only been using it on stage for a week, but so far, I’m very satisfied. There is no perceptible “lag” in the volume control, and as a bonus, sound quality, while not equal to a wired connection, is noticeably better than it was with either of my previous Bluetooth receivers. If this continues over time, I will be truly impressed.

Practically perfect. Just what I needed!
Throughout any given week, I lead classes on Spinning, TRX, and Circuit workouts. Before adding this to the routine, my setup options were limited by the necessity of having close proximity to the sound system. This allows me a degree of freedom in the setup and layout of my classes that I never had before. The Circuit workout best demonstrates its range - on a gym floor with a full basketball court and the stereo off to one side I have full coverage through the entire gym. The Spinning class best demonstrates the setup flexibility - we can point the Spinners anywhere now, maximizing the use of the mirrors so everyone can get a good view of their form instead of staring at the blank wall where the stereo lives. It is exactly what we needed. The one caveat that made it "practically" perfect: it's a little finicky about pairing when it is plugged in. Not an issue that would dock it a star since A: it has a good battery life and you don't actually need to plug it in except to charge it, and B: plugged in it works perfectly after futzing with it to get it paired. I've used it in the car, and though I wouldn't make it my primary device for car use (it turns itself off when power is applied, not the other way around as is usual in car devices) it is really handy to have in a pinch. I've already recommended this device to my coworkers, who promptly saw the utility. The one who immediately bought one loves it, doesn't want to run his Spinning classes without it anymore. I'm seriously considering getting another one to keep in my office for easy pairing there. So glad I got this!

I bought this to use with my Bosch job site radio because it didn't have native Bluetooth capability. The RoverBeats was very easy to set up - it enters pairing mode when you first turn it on and my phone (Nexus 5) found it and connected no problem. Sound quality seems fine too. There is a little bit of hiss when no music is playing but it's unnoticeable when there is music. The range is also very impressive. The product literature says 10 meters and I always assume those sorts of claims are under perfectly ideal circumstances. However, I actually tried playing music with my Bosch radio in the basement and I went up to the second floor of my house and it was still playing fine without breaking up. The unit also comes with a full set of cables which was a nice touch. There is both a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and a 3.5mm to RCA cable included, as well as a USB cable and power adapter. It also has an internal battery but I haven't tested how long it lasts since my Bosch radio has a USB power port built in so I don't really need the battery. I suppose it would be handy if you're using it with an old boom box or something like that. All in all I've been very happy with this device. It's an inexpensive way to add Bluetooth capability to legacy audio gear.

Es un producto facil de usar, bien diseñado y compacto, pero tomen en cuenta que el audio no es tan bueno como equipos similares del mismo precio, nivel de señal bajo y distorsion audible a alto volumen

Works well. Does what is says it does. My only minor complaint is that I like to keep it plugged into my car's charger so I don't have to think about recharging it every 10 hours, but I think every time it plugs into power it looses it's bluetooth connection to my phone. Not a big deal ( all I have to do is press the button on it to connect it again), but I'm in and out of my van all day for work and wish I could just go to a client, come back to my van and have it reconnect automatically. I think it would reconnect automatically if I left it on battery power instead of charging, but then I would have yet another device I would have to remember to bring inside and charge at home every night. Audio quality is very good. I use it to stream audio from my phone (podcasts, audiobooks and spotify) to the AUX input of my van's sound system. Never have any audio problems.

We bought the Etekcity Mini RoverBeats Unify Wireless Bluetooth Receiver to connect our tablet and iPod to our 5.1 home theatre. We wanted to be able to play the music through the speakers attached to our home theatre loud enough so we could hear it through the house. The bluetooth receiver was shipped with all the necessary cables and an external charger. The manual is clearly written and the instructions are simple enough to follow. I just have to turn on the system, wait a little, press the flashing button on the receiver and voila, my music is now playing through the house using the Bluetooth. It works really well and we can't hear any noise sounds that would be generated by the device in the speakers which is fantastic for a bluetooth device. At this price, it’s quite a steal and you won’t be sacrificing your sound quality. Great purchase, happy customers. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

Pros: - Small device - Long Charge Time - Colour indication for when it's connected/not connected Cons: - RCA extremely cheap and had a 10% internal wire contact. - Aux cord is the same. One of the ends is crimped and doesn't connect properly. - Can't control overall volume from my device since it automatically boosts the audio signal to max. - When it first connects it has trouble finding the bluetooth to my phone. Also enjoys disconnecting 3 or 4 times before actually playing music(Only on startup). Have tried the bluetooth connectivity on other devices aswell such as an Iphone6, Nexus 5x, Nexus 7 Tablet. Same Issue. Overall: Luckily I work with live audio and have a few RCA and Aux cables around that are 100 times better than what they ship it with. It's ridiculously annoying that every time I want to use it I have to let it disconnect a few times before it works properly. After that little hicup it's smooth after that. No interruptions. However spending 40$ on this I was worth it just for the device itself. Helps alot when I can bluetooth connect my device to any system at any given point. To that I give it a higher rating but the constant issues with the cord and connectivity have made this a very low rating. My brother purchased the same one and it has the exact same issues as mine.
