Very happy at the moment
I bought this and put pfSense on it. Working perfectly, small office & 2 homes running off the connection. Approximately 25 devices running at one time, but this has more than enough power to run what I need. Will be using it with multiple remote VPN devices calling in, hence the need for a more powerful router OS.Setting up the pfSense on the router was a bit tricky as a couple BIOS settings caused me to have issues during installation. If you're putting any routing OS on the unit remember to set in the BIOS settings to automatically power on if power is disconnected so your not manually having to power on the unit when you lose power. Also take note of how the hard drive settings are setup before doing any factory default settings in the BIOS as they are not setup correctly on default. But other than some installation hiccups it has been rock solid so far, runs at 27°C (80°F) inside a cupboard with some other networking gear.Very happy at the moment, I have been running it for 3 weeks now.

The product was great, I ran a pfsense firewall on it
The product was great, I ran a pfsense firewall on it. I am only giving it 4 stars because there was absolutely no documentation with it. It comes with some from of windows which I managed to brick the first time. I think it was power cycling it in the middle of expanding windows, my bad. I pulled it a part and removed the only jumper and got it bring up a bios screen after that had no problems.

No Support. None.
Please understand when you buy this it will be entirely unsupported. I don’t mean someone to help you even, I mean drives, firmware updates, etc. Just know what you are getting, as other brands of similar type are supported and more costly.

Great for OPNsense
Works great, I originally put the Sophos XG home free firewall OS on it, but it didn't seem like it was performing all that great, and its not open-source. I switched to OPNsense and I LOVE it! It is much faster than Sophos XG OS, and a lot easier to use and has more features than pfsense. Strongly Recommend getting one if your looking for a platform to build a firewall, its extremely fast, and is built with quality components. I use a NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 router for my WiFi accesspoint so this not having a WiFi card didn't bother me. I do however wish they would have put some USB 3.0 ports on it.

Issues with OPNSense and PFSense
Had OPNSense running on it. Then there was some update in late 2019 and it hung on boot. Tried reinstalling OPNSense. Same issue. Tried installing PFSense and same issue. Ended up installing Untangle Home and that seems to work. Would prefer OPNSense.

DO NOT BUY THIS. Mine worked for 2 weeks ...
DO NOT BUY THIS. Mine worked for 2 weeks then began smoking (literally). After about 30 emails the company agreed to RMA. I shipped it back promptly. However 1+ month later still haven't received any replacement. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS.

Great little pfSense box!
Bought this to create a pfSense box for home networking. The package size is perfect for a machine that will sit on my shelf and not be touched again for a long time. The multiple ports are perfect for LAN subnet separation. I was looking into models that had wireless, but other reviewers had said the wifi connections on this particular machine do not play well with pfSense. I'm simply adding some standard blue box wifi routers as access points plugged into the free jacks on this machine. It runs a little warm, but not much more so than my other equipment in the same closet. Definitely would recommend!

Brilliant for pfsense, runs very cool
Works perfectly with pfsense. Runs very cool and is a solid build. CPU never got hotter than 56C under load. Has 4 Intel nics and was shipped with Sandisk SSD and Kingston ram so only good quality components used. Running in production for a month now and no issues so far.
