Finnish Cheese Lappi 1 lb.

I love Finnish Lappi cheese .. It is consistently good & has not changed over time ..

I love this cheese and have been eating it for decades - cold, room temperature, melted - it's all good.My only problem giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it is practically impossible to find since COVID. It is no longer available at my local grocer, but finally found it on Amazon. Cheese is fairly priced, but the shipping charge seems outrageous. I'm just willing to pay it because I've been missing it for the last 3 years and is happy I found it!

I expected to receive a block of cheese in original packaging as shown on Amazon Prime. Instead, a block of cheese in an unmarked plastic bag, no identifiers as to cheese type on the packaging. I debated whether to try and return it but decided to be trusting and use the product. The taste and consisency does not equal lappi cheese I have purchased in the past, leaving me wondering if I got what I ordered and paid for and it was generically packaged so as to provide an alternate product. I was not sure I could return it so kept it but am disappointed and would not order it again, nor would I recommend anyone order this product. I am saddened because this type of cheese is very hard to find.

I enjoy soft mild cheeses made in Finland (in Finlandia organic way) and have for many years. I like this cheese I purchased from Holan Deli, but it isn't familiar to taste, as I know Lappi to be. It is very good tasting; however, I question it is Lappi (?). And It arrived in an unlabeled package. Expensive purchase to be left in doubt.

It appears to be a solid piece of cheese. It was not-it was slices. Package was clear and looked like it came from a deli counter. For the money spent I was disappointed. But the cheese was very good.
