Best used with experience
I have used this paper with this specific design before several years ago and was very delighted when I found it here as it is no longer sold in home improvement stores like Lowes and Home Depot. It does tear very easily after getting it wet so you have to be very careful when handling it. But, after all the hanging and fussing is over, it looks great and looks even better after being painted.

There Definitely is a Repeating Pattern
This paper definitely has a repeating pattern. Many reviewers and even the manufacturer suggest “no repeat”, but the pattern repeats every 25 inches. It is a minuscule match, but matching makes a big difference to the finished look. Paper usually looks better if repeat is matched, even if the pattern is randomish.I have hung a variety of papers for 25 plus years. This one seemed "fragile" and very papery...ie, it tore easily when wet. Maybe because of the underlying nature of the paper, it was also easy to nudge around on the wall, you just have to be careful.. Use sharp knives!! Drop a plumb line at each new wall and back into corners! If you have to err at the seams, err toward the world's tiniest almost-an-overlap as this paper seems to tighten up a bit and shrink back (amount of shrink being too small to even measure) ass it dries, accentuating the seams. Watch tutorial videos and take your time.We were just adding texture and do not plan to paint this paintable paper, which was chosen to go above white judge's paneling in dining area (same color as paper). The pattern/repeat is small and delicate appearing even though it is swoopy and I believe mimicking a plaster look. I was wondering if we painted it, or even if we only washed it with an overcoat color, if it would read more Victorian rather than rustic-plaster...I don't know, though, as I did not test a sample....you can just see the effect when it is wet.We are happy to have achieved the look we were after. It was a LOT of work!!!!

Love the Brewster Spazzare Swept Plaster Paintable Wallpaper
I bought one roll of this wallpaper to see if it would work on the low ceiling of a dormer-like attic room in our old house. The ceiling and walls are battered and I didn't want to have to replace all the plaster board. This wall paper works like a charm in covering everything up. I also purchased the Brewster bead board wallpaper for the walls of this room with the same success. The are very complimentary, bring a lot of texture and interest to the room, have really great adhesion and are easy to work with.I chose to cut the wall paper to the size needed, then heavily spray with a water bottle. O then let each piece sit for 5 minutes, then lightly sprayed the wall or ceiling. The paper easily slides into place. I then used a damp paper towel to work it into place and smooth out bubbles. Works like a charm.I noticed some reviews saying that adhesion was a problem for them. It's possible that not enough water was used to activate the paste before applying. Using the spray bottle on the wall paper and the wall, I had no problem. I highly recommend and will be ordering more of this wall paper to finish the entire ceiling.

Total waste of money
Was excited to get this wallpaper, it was pretty. Followed directions, hung it in a room I use as a office. It was hard to work with, ripped easily as I was trying to install. I put it up in the summer, as soon as I turned on the furnace in the fall it started falling off the wall. I bought more wallpaper glue, to no avail, it still continued to fall off the wall. Nothing works to keep it up. Total waste of money.

Offset match not random as stated
I rarely write reviews. I just want everyone that’s thinking about this wallpaper to be aware of what your getting into. I liked the design so I purchased one roll to see what it actually looked like and to test before I took the dive and bought the amount I needed for the project. Boy I’m glad I did. This is what I found. The seller claims that it’s “Random match and No repeat “. IT’S NOT….The label clearly shows offset match 64/32. This means a lot of scrap when hanging. On a standard 8’ wall you can get four strips out of a 33’ roll if it’s random match but because this is actually a drop match you will only get 3 strips, the rest will more than likely be scrap, that’s like throwing money away. If you go by the drop match pattern, open up your wallet and figure in another 25% more paper as you will need it. That isn’t the worst part. The worst part is how thin it is. To say it’s delicate would be an understatement. I don’t care how careful you are it’s going to rip. If the paper has the tiniest nick on the edge of it, it will rip right in half when wet. Don’t even think about doing a staircase by yourself because the paper can barely hold it’s own weight when wet at a length of 8’ let alone 14’. Use a soft wallpaper brush on it instead of a plastic squeegee or it will tear. Use extreme care and a very sharp blade when trimming if not, guess what – it will tear.On the positive side if you have minor imperfections on your wall this design will do a good job at covering them.I really like the design but even if it was half the price it would be too much considering the quality and the scrap you get. The price of this has shot up almost 50% in the last week and I can’t figure out why as it has the quality and strength of a wet paper towel. Trust me when I say the price has absolutely no reflection of the quality. I’ve purchased textured paintable wallpaper at big box stores for less than half the price and have gotten the exact same quality.

Balanced coverage
I wanted to balance the coverage given by a previous reviewer, as we did not have any trouble with the product tearing or changing color. It looks a bit brown before it dries, but it goes on easily enough if you know what you are doing. We used a roller in water to wet the product down, made "books" out of it and stuck it in a plastic bag for 10 timed minutes. It then stuck just fine and we brushed the paper down. Any bubbles seemed to dry out. I haven't painted it yet but we did try the color on a swatch and I think it will look just fine when finished. If you like white walls it can be used "as is". All wallpaper is not easy to do and this was no exception. I recommend watching some youtubes and reading about it before you do it!
