Fun gift idea for young kids to have a little space of their own
Short version: Great product to promote young imaginations and provide a nifty fort-like hiding/reading/playing spot that won't break the bank. Don't leave it out in the weather, though, and watch out for wear and tear at the apex seams. Overall: recommended at this price point ($50 at time of review).Detailed version: This tepee is easy to set up and offers a unique little getaway for young children. I'd recommend using this mostly indoors since the canvas and wooden poles are in no way treated for weather/moisture resistance. Still, as long as you don't leave it outside in inclement weather, it should do just fine. The apex of the finished tepee stands ~5 ft high, which is perfectly adequate for the intended purpose, but is admittedly short of the 6 ft claimed in the item description. The instructions are definitely sufficient for such a simple construction, overlooking a few typos (see photo). The pine poles consist of eight separate poles joined together by friction-fitting into plastic coupling pipes. Of the eight poles I received, only four of them had the holes drilled in the ends through which the strings at the top of the tepee are meant to pass. This is perfectly fine as long as you ensure those four poles are the ones at the top (see photos). The canvas and poles all smelled perfectly fine (not chemically-laden like many products I've bought from China) straight out of the packaging. There was no damage done in shipping either, which is always nice. The "door" flaps can be rolled up and tied out of the way by some toggles on the front of the tepee where the poles are. Unfortunately, the "door" doesn't have the capacity to close fully, always leaving an opening (see photo). This isn't a big problem, I suppose, but it would be nice if a hook-and-loop (e.g.-Velcro) closure had been included to hold the flaps together. The tepee's stability could also be improved if the bottoms of the poles had rubber/silicone feet attached to them to provide more friction against the floor. As they are, they slide quite easily, which can make it a challenge to keep the tepee in one place and keep its poles opened up. While there are other products on Amazon with this feature, they are more expensive, so I wouldn't necessarily call this a deficiency. I'd say the only semi-major concern I have regards the durability of the canopy's stitching, particularly at the apex (see photo). This parting of the fabric at the seams occurred during initial construction. I am quite sure it will only get worse with use, and repeatedly taking it down, transporting it, and setting it back up again. It's possible some stretching and settling is normal, so I haven't deducted a star for it. All in all, this product is an inexpensive way to introduce a little adventure, imagination, and privacy into a child's life. What kid doesn't love building a fort or tent? Here's a ready-made solution that won't require cobbling something together out of materials you may (or may not) have on-hand. I even have a real-life toddler for field testing this item, so I'll update this review if we identify any concerns. In the interest of full disclosure, I was provided this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review of it.

Perfect for nursery or children’s room
I have a 2 month old daughter. I ordered this to put in the corner. It’s adorable. I can’t wait for her to be able to look at my through the little windows. Also super easy to assemble.

Not sturdy and easily tips
Overall the quality is great, however it is not sturdy. It falls over easy and the poles do not stay in place.

Cute. Sturdy
My kid loves this teepee. I was a bit apprehensive to buy it and be a part of the exploitation problem but we decided to use it as a learning tool about how native Americans built their homes. It’s really cute and the material is thick and won’t rip. I thought I’d like it plain white but it’s a little boring so we decided to buy fabric markers and let the kid go to town making it her own.

Very disappointed, wooden pole broke quickly
Set this up about 6 weeks ago for my little girl. She just turned two so she isn’t very strong or heavy and one of the wood poles has already broken, splintered. It’s not as simple as just going to a local store and buying a new pole, because it broke off where the smaller piece goes into the plastic coupling. Very disappointed!!!

Super cute!
Ordered 2 to go over my Littles toddler beds (like a canopy or headboard). The price was great, and it looks exactly as I had hoped. They love sleeping in their teepee every night!

Cute but not great quality
My kids are super excited about it, but we just got it today and it's already coming apart. There were markings on it when we pulled it out of the box, but I think they'll come out if we wash it. The holes on the seams are an easy fix since I know how to sew. It was easy to put together and looks cute and simple, which is what I wanted. For only paying $22.50, I'm satisfied enough to keep it but wouldn't buy it again.
