Really pleased with this unit
Having read many negative reviews I was very dubious about this purchase. However, my new pond was in a desperate state, hastily filled and stocked with fish from my previous home. The pond faces south and is full sun all day and whilst the rest of the garden was being built iI watch the pond turn into thick pea soup. The OASE 16,000 filtration pump couldn't cope and no amount of algae dispersing chemicals would clear it. At around 12- 16 thousand litres the Evolution Aqua evo75 UVC seemed to fit the bill so holding my breath and almost against my better judgement based on negative reviews, I ordered one.I sought advice from the manufacture who passed on some very valuable tips. The most important being the slower the water passes the UVC bulb the more effective the unit would be. Luckily I had another smaller pump unit from previous pond...a Oase 6,000. This was to become a second system to run a small waterfall, after the water had passed through the 75.The 75 is a big unit but I was building a pump box to house all the pond pumping gear so it would be protected from the environment, including winter frost etc.As I said earlier the unit is quite long and the only difficulty I had installing it was fitting the bulb end caps. With the help of my wife holding the tube and bulb, once connected, in place whilst I made the connection, it was very easy to do. 'O' rings in place the rest was easy.A quick flow test proved the unit was water tight, I then ran water through the unit for 24 hours, as per the instruction, which was successful.I then switched on the UVC bulb and with water flowing through waited to see if it would reunite me with my fish? Well it took nearly two weeks BUT after three days I began to see an improvement. Now I have a crystal clear pond. My fish are happy, I'm happy so happy I decided to write this appraisal of the product.

worst design ever
This has to be the worst idea know to man...The fitting of the lamp in the holder is terrible.I have also had a replacement as the water leaked into the lamp, which in hand caused power loss in my home. really bad design. I also had problems with the supplier believing me over the fault, Aquacadabara, I won't be using these ever again, the emails back and forth constantly asking me the same question... very poor..Really disappointed with the product and the service...
