This is a surprisingly well-written comprehensive theology (even if somewhat one-dimensional at times) volume representing the Assemblies of God positions on Bible themes. Depending upon what your beliefs are, this mid-sized book covers with respect the differences others have with the Assemblies Of God without being controversial. I would liked to have a chapter on grace as that theme was evident in the material but could have added some theological depth overall. There are many denominations out there but the Assemblies have held to their beliefs for over 100 years even if exclusive at times. Some of the positions were a bit dated and could use the light of modern understanding. This handbook is a handy volume for any Christian/denomination wishing to have a summary of Biblical doctrines from a Pentecostal perspective.

This will absolutely give you the doctrine of the Assembly of God Church in a scholarly and biblical way. You will not regret it. I wanted to understand the church, it’s doctrines and this was the best tool I could find.

An in depth understanding of the doctrines of Christianity. Learned a lot. Grateful for such a reference tool as this!

Biblbe Doctrines: A Pentecostal Perspective, explores theological issues using the 16 Fundamentals Truth of the Assemblies of God as a starting place. I enjoyed the clarity in which doctrines such as Christology, Ecclesiology, Eschatology, and so forth were explained. From reading this text, I've gained a clearer understanding of Assemblies of God teaching, and of Pentecostal doctrine in general.

Great book; easy to understand

This book explains the doctrines and tenants of the faith for the Pentecostal movement. The book goes into enough detail to explain the subject without being overbearing. Please note that the cover design may vary from book to book seeing there were several reprints. a must have for any serious bible student and layperson or just average Christian.

Have a better understanding as to what Pentecost is all about and what a difference it makes to a Christian in the world today.
