Corframs are for Corframing
I am former military and I had a formal event to attend. ( Black tie). My only reference being my military formal wear standards. So these were my go to for foot wear. I skipped the fragile and dainty looking tuxedo formal wear shoes for men for this option.Fit - I ordered the wide width. The fit my foot well. Toe box did not give me any issues. I sure them for about 10 hours.Sole - The sole was a bit thicker than what I remember lites having when I was active duty. But I appreciate that. I've gained weight since then, the extra weight absorption is a plusInsole - I ditched the one that came with it and added the most expensive Dr. Scholls. I do that with all my foot wear. My experience was with our a hitch or foot pain after 10 hours of wear. The one that comes with it is decentMaterial - The are patent leather corframs. If your buying these chances are that doesn't need explanationBuild/construction - There are other brands of this style and type of foot wear out there. This brand is the standard for issue and wear by the Navy and Marines and that is good enough for me.Would I buy again? - Hopefully I will never have to. But if I did, YES I would buy them again.

Awesome shoe but I find it to be an 1/2" larger than stated.
This is a nice upgrade from the old corfam shoes I had for my dress uniform. It is stated that most say this shoe fits true to size but I find that it is approximately 1/2" larger than stated. I normally wear a size 12 which is what I ordered but an 11 1/2 would of fit perfect. For me it is not worth the extra effort to get the correct size as I will hardly wear these but for someone who will be wearing these day to day on your feet you may want to take the sizing difference into consideration. The shine itself it awesome, no noticeable scuffs are marks. I also like that it has the small padding around the opening of the shoe so it doesn't dig in to the back of your ankle. The only thing that I see that may need replacing soon are the shoelaces. It might just be me but it doesn't seem these laces will hold up very long. I almost feel like if I try to cinch these up with a little too much pressure (like if I'm in a hurry) I would rip the laces apart.Other than that, this is a great shoe. Good insole, good tread pattern and I like the fact that it has a rounded toe unlike my previous ones that had a tapered point type toe.
