This is CDC a handy gadget! No more guessing what's in the wall- Walbot actually shows you! The calibration takes some time and the attachment cord sometimes falls out, but this could be user error in our case.

Easy to use and set up. Tested it on a wall I tore out and it was 100% accurate

My stud finder preforms better. It is about half as good as they saybit is. The picture is a generic picture that pops up when it thinks it senses something. It doesn't actually show you a picture that represents the position of the wire or stud behind the wall. If the wire is running horizontally the picture still shows it running vertically. It also couldn't find studs behind drywall mud. I think the idea is great and it is easy to use but i don't see it being practical on a job site. I might try them out again in a few years when the technology improves and it actually can do what the commercials advertise.

I purchased this unit in the hopes of being able to use it to work around an area where I knew there was some plumbing and wiring. Needless to say, I didn't really find this product to be quite what it is marketed to be. I found that my 'dumb' stud finder was just as effective. That being said, the expert mode (which I don't consider myself to be with this product) was the most useful. However there is no interpretation of the data the unit is getting with this mode. I had some piping that had multiple bends, and this product did not meet my expectations. I ended up cutting through the drywall and patching it up to see what was going on. Very disappointing.

Great consept

I'll be honest, I was super skeptical about this working as advertised. I am still in shock how well it actually works.The version I got doesnt work on plaster and lathe because it's a feature I wouldnt ever use. 99% of my work is with wood/steel studs with sheetrock.It does effectively find the studs, and even wires in behind the drywall.Things that I dont like about it. If you have a case on your phone the gelpads used to hold the walabot to your phone doesnt stick so you just end up holding the phone and the bot.With a 3d printer you can easily rectify that problem (which in will be doing very soon)Also the protective sheet that is used to protect your wall from dragging your walabot across the paint gets damaged/scratched very easily.With that said the customer service offered to send me some extra sheets and gel pads for no charge.I would recommend this over a traditional stuff finder any day of the week!

the gel coat sticky for holding it to your phone is limited in use
