Song Of Solomon

I think it is important to remember that this was a crowdfunded film. That is not a slight, mind you. Merely an observation that make the effects all the more impressive and the acting all the more...well, as expected. Song of Solomon is a brutal and gory feature for sure and so the gorehound in me was rather satisfied with a lot of what I saw. The sticking point is the rather awkward and poorly delivered dialogue as well as the general amateurish level of acting on display for most of the cast with the exception of the female lead (our possessed girl) and the bald priest whose overserious overacting was pretty funny to watch.This is a film to watch with a group so you can "Ohhhh!" when the girls arms break or the father pulls his tongue through his neck (awesome scenes!) and then rag on the actors when things get a bit slow. Worth a watch if you're into bloody possession fare or just a horror freak but not much substance under the style I'm afraid. I'd be interested to see the team behind this make another film with a better cast and script.

A super disgusting take on an exorcism story, this movie has all the guts and blood you could possibly hope for. The only reason I rate it four stars is because there are a few scenes that just last a tad too long, like "Okay, we get it, she's literally puking her guts, and it's gross, can we move on?" BUT the practical effects were absolutely phenomenal, and the acting wasn't too shabby. If gross and gory is your thing, give it a watch, for sure!

Well, people aren't lying when they say the acting is bad. Not even cheesy/funny/b-rated bad, just horrible lol.. except the demon and maybe the angry bar priest.. but most ppl came for the gore right? Know I did!The practical effects are top notch and used some creative ways to off the priests. It's honestly what carried this film. My only REAL complaint is the ending. Which leaves you wondering wtf just happened.

It's like a more extreme version of the exorcist. To be warned, the main actress is the only who seems to be a legit actress and the writing leaves a little to be desired but I loved it.

Scarier than The Exorcist... Please. Good story. Crappy acting. It seems they picked up anyone to join this film. Looks like a college movie to me. Acting was so bad it looks like they tryed to cover it with gore. Really stupid and I regret I payed for this trash

BUY IT. Some of the acting is absolutely awful but at least its funny. The gore however is AMAZING and shocking and beautiful in a sick sick way. It is fascinating and looks great cinematically. A fun add to the horror collection.

Good movie lots of blood and gore. However theres some issues with the blueray. The extra material keeps freezing when I try to watch behind the scenes. Sometimes disk doesn't want to play and gives an error message.

the gore scenes are pretty gruesome and original for that this movie gets a 3 of 5. besides that the movie is too short some of the scenes run to terribly too long and the acting was absolute trash even for a low budget film, with the exception of the possessed lady.
