Northern Illinois winters on a farm require the right winter gear. Animals still need tending, even when the windchill is -30 F. This keeps the heat in, guards my face from the wind, and fits well under a coat hood. It has been washed repeatedly and holds up perfectly. I also love that it is not scratchy against my skin like a few others I have tried. I came back today to order one for each of my kids as they are outgrowing their kid sizes and are ready for this one.

This was a last minute purchase for my daughter who was visiting a friend in Montana during winter. She didn't think she would need it but this mom wanted to be safe. She wore it.....daily. You can use it many ways, (balaclava, a face hood, a face mask, or a neck gaiter). The inside is soft fleece. It is lightweight and has adjustable straps. It really kept her warm. Mama knows best.

This wool mask helped me a lot during the winter. I work outside and it kept me warm and comfortable. The material is soft, and it gives just the right amount of heat without itching. Highly recommended!

Great in cold weather BUT if it's real windy, alot of the wind comes thru. Supplement it with a hood with lots of wind.

This hood is awesome for women and children with smaller heads.It feels great in your face. Not tight. Room to move. But I'm very thin.I love that you only have to move the flap up to cover your nose. And that's all around your head. I only wish you made the neck length longer for us in the colder weather.And why doesn't these come in men's sizes? Cuz I love my two. Hubby might snag one.Other muted colors would be nice.These are soft as a babies blanket, inside fleece, but sturdy materiel outside, for cold temps. Even fit my 200 lb. Husband. Just tighter on him than me. He even had wiggle room. Wouldn't be great in frigid weather, but a hat liner yes!. But great for very cool weather. No cold air sinus headaches, or ear aches from cold wind. I love sitting on my porch yearly all year long. It serves me well so far. Not thin. Thick enough for cold weather. Well made. All one piece. This is not a bad hat, but I bought it so my face wouldn't freeze when riding my e scooter in upstate NY winters. I would say it's good for temps 35 F and above. If you are just walking around outside it would probably be ok. The fit and the doggle is nice to cinch it with. It is soft and washes well so far. I wish it was longer through the neck. Seems shorter than what is shown in the picture.

Very warm and comfortable, the drawstring allows you to keep it as tight or loose as you please. The part that goes across your face doesn't restrict breathing. It keeps your face and neck warm and you don't have to worry about a scarf falling off.
