Cheap and effecient!
The sound is pretty decent, I think it was better than my bigger laptop I had previously. Very easy to use, AppStore is a bit slow but no problems. Battery life is good! I bought this laptop for college, so far I was able to download Word and docs is available on the apps. Convenient light weight and very cute. I recommend it if you want something easy and cheap! Of course you won’t get Great quality for gaming or anything beyond. It’s definitely meant to type, so this is perfect for a college-high school student. If I could add one feature, it would be keyboard light up!!!Recommend it so far!!:)

The anti-glare screen makes it easier to see videos without the glare / reflection.
I bought this for watching videos outside since it has an anti-glare screen which is getting harder and harder to find these days. No reflection from the sun watching in broad daylight. I also like the fact it has charging ports on both sides. The construction is very high quality. Great looking. For less than $200, it's a steal.

Great battery life, user friendly
I purchased this chromebook for use in college and light recreational use. I have had it almost a week now.Pros:- clear, high definition picture & screen- long lasting battery (I used it for about 6 hours straight and it only drained about 25% of the battery on low light)- lightweight- compact, perfect for desk or lap use- adequate processor, loads fastCons:- the body/material isn't entirely durable, but that is to be expected given the low cost. I haven't dropped it yet but it may not hold up if I were to.- Chromebook's google docs app (offline, not via chrome browser) is a bit bulky, doesn't offer the same "print" appearance as online mode- not the fault of asus or chromebook, but you cannot use Microsoft products without paying for office

Great thus far. Display is weakest link but it's good enough.
I had the unit for 24 hrs now. I was previously using a same size Acer chromebook I bought used 2 years ago so it was 5 or so years old. I wanted more memory (2 vs 4G) , storage (16 vs 32G) and the ability to run Android apps. *****I qualified reviewer made the point that the display was based on TN technology (vs IPS) and off angle viewing was poor. I found this to be the case but for my usage pattern its fine. Color quality is noticeably worse than my new TV but it good enough. I didn't want to pay $100 more for a better display. *****Androids apps work very well (e.g. Skype) others Just ok. *****I'm waiting on a usb c to HTML cable to confirm HTML support. *****I'm happy this far. I have an ASUS tablet that has been great. I expect this ASUS chromebook will also prove to be great.Update 1/18/19Received usb c to 6 format cableThe following all worked well at the same time: !!!HDMI (w/ sound) over 25ft cable.usb3 flash drive playing musicEthernet LAN

Very practical, nothing fancy
I got this as a tablet replacement. I like having one hinged device with a keyboard, rather than a tablet plus keyboard packaged into a cover. And I didn't want to pay for a Microsoft Surface. I purchased a renewed unit so it was very cheap. It does everything I need it to do. I can install apps on it like on an Android tablet, and I run everything off of Google Drive and Google Docs. I switch to my Windows laptop if I need to do any intense editing of documents, then I put them on Drive, and I can view the docs on this device.

Not a very good product
Overall, this Chromebook is a very lackluster product with many things to be desired. I purchased it for light video watching on Youtube and for checking my emails when traveling. But there has been many things preventing me from enjoying the purchase of the Chromebook.Pros:-light weight-long battery life (around 2 weeks without charging and moderate usage-chromium basedCons:-wide bezels surrounding the screen-peak brightness is low-trackpad is difficult to work with and often time non responsive-slow, even for Chromebook standards-build quality feels cheap and non-durable

Asus product support is garbage, unit is a known lemon
About 2-3 months in the speakers started crackling when they were muted. The unit's mouse started to lag and then stutter to catch up. Eventually it would not turn on even when fully charged. We call asus and it's still under full warranty awesome. Send it in for free. Amazing. They send it back. The bottom has a perfect silver circle. They've punctured it...um okay. They've damaged a hinge...that's weird. Turns on and still works for the limited stuff I need. Netflix in bed, word processing, and paying bills. ONE WEEK LATER. Same issues start. I check the repair report.Problem/Symptom. Blank.Replaced Parts: Blank.Action: Blank.Well that was absolutely unhelpful. I call and explain all this to them that there are weird small damages that make NO SENSE on the unit that the report has ZERO INFORMATION and oh yeah been back in use LESS THAN a WEEK and it's exhibiting the EXACT SAME issues we sent it in for before. "well we can't guarantee we will fix the damage we caused since you didn't keep the box we sent it back in" and they can't guarantee the didn't cause the damage during the repair. (I know the damage wasn't from shipping back because that box was fine).Absolutely ridiculous. We have square trade protection on it as well so I may go through them next and try and get a new unit because this one must be a lemon not that they'll admit it? Not sure. It's exactly what we're looking for in terms of functions, word processing, small and portable, with some apps, but definitely not the headaches.Update: trying to get a refund from ASUS for this unit. I can’t do word processing on google while it’s charging the speakers are still crackling. They created a fedex label to send it back BUT WONT TELL ME WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN how sketchy is that???Final update: the unable to do basic functions while the chromebook is charging is a known issue according to square trade and they will fix it. So buyer beware.
