Probrico Colonial Style Door Knobs Door Locks (Dummy, Brushed Nickel)

Description is misleading. Made me believe this was 2 knobs. Instructions are generic for multiple door knobs. However, since I have installed knobs b4, it was simple. Door knob is very nice, smooth operation and well built. But, for over $18 for 1 - it should be.

I've installed doors and locks for my entire adult life and this is the FIRST TIME I've ever encountered a door bored with 1 7/8" holes to receive the locking mechanism.Why? I'm removing 50 year old Weiser locks, and the two posts which hold the set together are 1/4" closer together this replace ment knob. To be clear: it is the previous carpenter's work which causes the problem. I've always bored 2 1/8" holes. Or they've been there.But you should be aware of the issue.I will have to put a 1/4" hole into the side of the existing borehole to get these to work. I'm not wasting my time trying to find a dozen locksets that are not made to what is now a current universal standard.That said, the locksets themselves are sturdier than the ones I'm replacing: heavier gauge metal is used in these. And that means they should last until the next owner decides this detail doesn't suit him. The existing cutouts for the strike and the plunger are both perfect, and the holes drilled for the screws to hold them in place are in the same spot.Just this silliness. Turns a 4 hour job (to replace 10 locks) into a two or three day affair.

These are beautiful knobs. The passage and dummy knobs look great. I was very impressed with them and they were easy to install! BUT, The only downfall is that the matching privacy knobs lock horizontally not vertically like almost all other door knobs we've every used. It was confusing for my young kids and myself! It seemed like something we could get used to, but we couldn't, so we returned for locks that locked vertically.

The lock is good . The installation is easy. So far the operation without any problem. The only thing I disappointed is that the keys of the lock I went to Home Depot to make duplication. The key machine detected the code No. 97 but it did not work on the lock . I brought it back to Home Depot to cut a new one but it still did not work. The first time I could not insert the key into the lock. The second time i could insert but could not turn.I brought the original key to Lowe’s it also identified code 97 . I tried the key from Lowe’s it did not work either. I don’t know if manufacturer has a standard key or not . The lock is a regular lock like any other branches.I gave up . At least the lock came with three keys!

These doorknobs look great in our newly remodeled bathroom. Our house is 33 years old and the doorknobs are meant to fit a standard door. I don't know if "standard" is the same today as when our house was built. But the hole in the door was a little too small for this knob to fit. My husband was able to use his drill to make the hole a little larger. Then, he was able to install both knobs just fine.

Fits your palm like a glove; much better quality than typical door knobs because the knob is thicker. Sounds silly but I love the way this doorknob feels and you can really tell the difference compared with other doorknobs.Only reason for lower rating is because it was a struggle to re-key it.

The Problico entry door knob CANNOT be rekeyed. I have rekeyed a dozen locks before, but not this one. They could have simply used the same cylinder from their single-cylinder deadbolt and made this rekeyable, but NO. The back of the cylinder has a cap clamped onto the back. It cannot be unscrewed like the deadbolt.And Amazon deserves some of the blame for not requiring a standard set of spec's to indicate whether the product can be keyed or not. Thank goodness, the specification section lets me know that batteries are not required.and are not included with this product.i will be returning 2 of these.

Us usual, great customer service and arrived undamaged. The hardware itself is fine, easy to install, and functions well. Not the most expensive unit, but we didn't want to spend a lot for our master bathroom door.

This is a good replacement for the front door just to pull it shut from the outside.

Amazing it is exactly what it was described.Very happy

Was delivered on time. It was as described. Cant fault item or the process. Was last touch for my mum's newly decorate bedroom and she is very pleased.
