🔧 Lock It Down, Live It Up!
The TCHHardware 4 Pack Steel Small Butterfly Twist Latch & Keeper is designed for durability and ease of use. Made from steel with a zinc plating, these latches feature a spring-loaded anchor plate that compensates for minor misalignments, ensuring a secure fit. With a load capacity of 2000N (450 lbs), they are perfect for various applications, though screws for mounting are not included.

Look at the Technical Drawing, NOT the photos, which are only similar.
These are nice, heavy duty latches, (but they don't have that hex shaped knob, or "TCH" etched in the handle.) They include a spring for tension, that gives you almost an 1/8" of leeway when mounting them. The latches have only TWO holes (not three) and they are 3/4' (19mm) apart, in a "vertical" orientation. The keepers (which DO come with the latches) have holes 15/16" (24mm) apart, in a "horizontal" orientation. To attach, twist the latch to the closed position and place it so its "hook" is just touching the keeper's "hook", like this: KEEPER ___)(▀▀▀▀▀▀ LATCH. Then, once mounted, with the "hooks" engaged and the latch closed, the spring will compress slightly and create a snug fit. This method places the keeper holes and the first latch hole about 1-3/16" (30mm) apart . The upper, left corner of the technical drawing shows this distance as 27mm. If you use 1/8" fasteners in the 3/16" (5mm) holes, the two pieces will pull together about 1/16" each when you tighten the latch making the distance shrink 1/8" (3mm) for a net distance of 27mm!(If you are unsure, just mount them on a piece of scrap wood and, as the drawing states, "adjust tension by increasing/decreasing mounting distance.") For a given distance, wider fasteners will make a tighter latch. (I think she said something like that . . . )The two pieces are designed to be mounted on the same plane. If you want to mount them on a corner, with the keeper perpendicular to the latch, you'll need to modify the keeper by maybe straightening its hook to 90°. I've seen others that have a slot in the keeper to allow this without modification (Example: This Item ) where you turn the keeper over and mount with the hook down over the edge, so the latch hook engages the slot.If you will be operating these a lot, or they will be in a harsh environment, I would suggest adding a little smidge of grease in the cam mechanism to keep them turning freely.

VIPs of my home built road case
Decided to build a road case for my Fender Blues Deluxe amp and these stand up the rigors of loading and unloading.

Great Quality & Affordably Priced
I've been using these latches on my custom pedal cases lately. The small size is perfect and the quality is very nice. These are not flimsy at all. In fact, it does take a little "oomph" to flip up the latch, which I like. Twisting is easy, though. I will definitely be ordering more of these.

Well made
I like them, I wish the had counter sunk holes for the fasteners. Not a big problem, but I think the countersunk look is better.
