Shanling M0-Leather-Cas M0 Protective Case - Blue

This is an imitation leather case for the Shanling M0 player. The photo shows what looks like the front of the case, with the Shanling logo on it, so I was expecting a case which protected the screen, by far the most vulnerable part of a player which is otherwise a solid block of metal...However, I was disappointed. This is actually the back of the case - it covers the metal back of the player. This case basically leaves at least half the player completely unprotected. The case consists of a light metal frame into which the player slides from the top. The back of the frame is covered with leather, as is the left side, but those are the only two parts of the player which are fully protected. The right side is only covered with leather on the bottom half - the top half is left open for access to the volume control. The bottom of the player has a thin strip of leather in the middle, but either side is left exposed for access to the headphone and USB ports. The screen is completely uncovered, as is the top of the player.So the amount of protection provided by this case is pretty minimal. It'll protect the back and the left side from damage, but the rest of the player, including the screen, is basically unprotected. I really can't see the point - at the very least, a flap over the screen should have been provided. If you put the M0 into a bag or pocket in this case, it will still be scratched or damaged, so the case is pretty much pointless. And the price is breathtakingly high for what is basically a couple of square inches of fake leather - shockingly poor value. If it cost a fiver, you might not be too disappointed, but at over 4 times that price, this is just dreadful. Avoid.
