Harden Steel Thicker Center Rear Driveshaft for Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer UDR 8555

If you are a bashed like myself then you have probably broken the stock driveshafts. The shaft is hardens steel and the universal joint is rebuildable with the supplied parts . I got this one for that reason

Only ever run the udr on 4s lasted three packs and took a chunk out of a $200 motor….. save your money buy a better product

Seems to be of great quality! Pins were all tight and no slop in the yokes, fit perfect on my UDR just use thread locker on the set screws

I out it in the traxxas udr it worked fine i drove it for 5 minutes and it already broke one side of it complete waste of my money will never buy again

The media could not be loaded.  Edit: ran 3 battery packs through it and it exploded. I also have my pinion angle set perfectly. Suspension fully extended and only about 8 degrees of angle. Just poor quality retainers and pins. Would not recommend. Seller did send a new one extremely fast, but that one also failed after 2 battery packs. Bought a MIP and it’s been great so far. 10 packs through it and it’s still like new. So I’m certain it was the driveshaft being bad quality and not my set up. I even waited to edit this to make 100 percent sure it wasn’t something I did. Seems great so far. Drove the car around and beet on it and it’s good. The only thing I would suggest is using the old driveshaft grub screw pins. The ones provided seem soft and I have a feeling that they might strip down the road. Anyone with a UDR knows you take the rear end apart to clean and grease very often. After taking the driveshaft out multiple times, I get the feeling the ones given will eventually strip the head and you’d have to drill it out.

I bought this expecting a little longer run time compared to the Traxxas one. It broke after one run, and when I wanted to take it off after unscrewing the pins, it simply wouldn’t slide off. Very frustrated with this product. Now I find myself buying new output shafts along with a new driveshaft. Definitely not purchasing again.

Ran maybe 2 sets of packs before the drive shaft broke. Worse then stock.
