Please don't buy these unless you want a FOREVER sponge!
Reviewing the Starfiber Microfiber Kitchen Scrubbies, 4-Pack. I would give 10 stars if I could! I don't know where I got my first 2 of these round sponges so, SO many years ago (8+ years!), I only know I've LOVED them ever since. These 2 have held up ALL of these years with a simple alternating them and tossing the used one in the washing machine once a week and air drying. So, I began to think I would pick up a couple more, only problem is I had NO IDEA where I got them and there was no name on them, only the tag (of a little white star in a green circle). *sigh* I came to Amazon and searched "round sponge" and to my surprise, THERE THEY WERE!!! A 4-pack for less than $20.00 (or about $4.00 per sponge)! Needless to say, I was thrilled to order. In all honesty, the way the first 2 have held up (and still going strong!), I probably won't ever have to buy more of these sponges for the rest of my days LOL! I am still using my original 2 and acquiesce that, at some point, I will have to move on and put them into semi-retirement to use for other things and grab a new one for my dishes, pots and pans. But, NOT today! The interior of my original 2 sponges are fully intact as the day I got them, so until that changes, I'll continue to use them for my dishes. The microfiber side of these sponges only come in very limited colors (I have yellow and green) which doesn't bother me because it's all about function over form. But, if you're really picky about colors, this could be a slight down-side. Also, don't be afraid of the round sponge - it WILL be one of THE best sponges you will ever buy. Thank me later - You're welcome. :-)

This is the BEST and LONGEST-LASTING sponge you will EVER come across! Worth its weight in gold...
This is hands-down the BEST kitchen sponge you will EVER purchase, and is most definitely worth the price. I paid the same amount almost 4 years ago that it cost now and was hesitant at the time to be spending that much on a sponge. It had such great reviews that I figured I'd give it a try.I am using the SAME SPONGE for almost 4 YEARS now and am just blown away with how awesome this product is! My daughter uses and replaces sponges CONSTANTLY so I just gave her one from my stash and told her how excellent of a sponge this is. If she lets me know what she thinks of it, hopefully I'll find the time to come back here and update my post with her opinion.I use my sponge all the time and once a week throw it into the washing machine along with my dirty laundry. In between, I will throw it into the dishwasher top shelf to clean and sanitize it. Occasionally I saturate it, put a squirt of liquid dish detergent on it, and throw it into the microwave for a minute or so. That softens up any spills or crumbs so the microwave cleans up easily, while the sponge is being sanitized at the same time.I purchase a lot of items on Amazon and it's not typical for me to write a review. I have been wanting to write a review for quite some time on this item because of how much I love it, but I'd been putting it off. You might think I was paid to write my review, but I most definitely wasn't. You definitely will not regret purchasing this. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

How to clean these to get rid of the smell
I have been using these for over a year now and unless they became too expensive, I wouldn't use other sponges to clean my dishes, pots and pans. Because we are using these to clean food, leftover, stains and all kinds of gross stuffs. No matter how you rinse or wash them some left over or tiny bits of food or whatever we use these to clean are going to stuck in there and bacteria will eventually grow inside. What I've learned from others is once a week or more often if you really use these to clean some gross stuff or things or leftovers that bacteria likes, just rinse them with some dish washing detergent, then put them in the microwave to cook them for two and half to three minutes to kill the bacteria inside that we couldn't see or reach. Whenever they smell (once a week or two?), I just rinse them real good with dish washing detergent and put them in the microwave for 3 minutes. Try it, my sponges never smell until they are worn out in a couple months, then just throw them away and enjoy a brand new one. A couple dollar for a GOOD sponges that will last a few months? Why not.

Love these so far, ordered as stocking stuffer
At Christmas I usually dig up random things as filler, a "My" favorite things, for the daughters. This year will include these. I'm sure they look at some of the stuff and wonder what was she thinking. I had to wait months for mine, I am just glad they were in stock. Despite all health warnings, I prefer sponges. I used to use the blue ones for months, yes, I admit that. They started lasting less, and less, and less. For a while I replaced them the first of the month, when I quit using them they started falling apart about the 2nd week, leaving blue shreds in the sink every time I used them. I tried dish clothes, I just like sponges. I love the mop by this company, so when I found these while looking for washable sponges, I ordered them and waited on the back order. I haven't had them but for a couple of months, but I love them. Seemed big at first, you get used to it. I rinse it out well, hand wash when it needs it, and have to remember to run them through the washer with the dish clothes. So far I am still using the first one. Even if they don't last, well, forever, it will still be cheaper than a blue sponge every few weeks.
