G7 installation tips: 1. Install G7, the computer needs to connect to the Internet. 2. The G7 serial number can be accessed by running SimLauncher2017 on the CD. Had a few quirks getting it to work but a great deal overall.
Given the price point on this item it's really hard to beat what it does. It's almost as good as RF8 and comes with a DVD w/ RF7, Phoenix and one other simulation program I didn't install. It has a few annoying quirks. First off there is no reset button on the controller. To reset after a crash in RF7 you have to re-select the model or environment. I'm still looking for a better way to do this but that's the only way I've found to do it so far because it also came with no instructions. Also I had to do some trial and error to figure out which controller type to select in each program which was kind of annoying as well, hence the 4 Star Rating instead of 5. Oh and it also doesn't remember the controller type setting between restarts of the RF7 program (software problem not the controller). The only other problem I had was my DVD was bad but the company worked with me and sent me a URL where I could download the programs. Overall this is a great deal as it's a fraction of the cost of RF8 and other than a few annoying quirks it's just about as good as the RF8 package which I goes for about $190 USD.
