I like the stronger teeth flaps
I like that it's stronger. It's supposed to last a year but even with it being stronger it doesn't. But it's Waaaay better then it was! Came quickly, packaged well. Works well for me. Most comfortable one out there. I have a small mouth. Need to get the one that says it's for a smaller mouth. Even though it has 4 positions. I find the normal one is still too big. Even at the smallest setting. And the one with flaps don't work for me. Not as comfortable. I ended up cutting them off.

Great night guard
This is a great night guard. This makes sleeping much easier. It's small enough that I don't notice it falling asleep. Helps a great deal with teech grinding. Glad to find the slim design. The regular design is too big for my mouth. The materials are good so I don't have to worry about using this for 8 hours a day. It's easy to adjust and easy to clean. Short of a dentist prescribed guard, this is the best I've found. Good for the price.

7 months need a re-up
For those complaining that the bite pads are too stiff, they need to be for those who chew it like myself - I have a stressful job, what can I say? I have always preferred this brand, but when they were softer I used to chew through them every 3 months or so. At $30-40 a pop, that was $120-160 a year since 2006. These last significantly longer, and I could probably get one last month out of these, but it would be pushing it.4 star review because they work well, last longer than most market brand mouth guards, fit well in my mouth (stay in place and prevent my teeth from grinding), and never get misshapen over time even though I hardly ever put them in the accompanying mouth tray. The 1 star is off because they didn't last the full year :( and because even though I ordered the mint flavor they sent me plain (boo). I hope to get in contact with the manufacturer about the 1 yr guarantee.

Will help with TMJ but may cause soreness on gums/side of mouth.
I bought this with hopes that it would alleviate my teeth and jaw pain that I wake up to each morning due to grinding my teeth. I wore this for almost a week and I did notice a slight difference. I'm sure as you wear it longer, the better your TMJ symptoms would get. However, I won't be able to wear it anymore because it's causing a very sore blister/cut on the left side of my mouth due to the rubbing of the adjustment "knob" that's on the mouthpiece. It's kind of disappointing because the comfort of the bite pads, and ease of use, are 10x better than the ones that you have to boil.

Too loose and clunky. Not comfortable.
Unfortunately this was not comfortable. I thought the concept was good, but it felt loose and clunky and I just couldn't fall asleep with this mouth guard. Sorry, but just didn't work for me.

Finally this one is back
Years ago I found this product which was by far the best OTC tooth grinding guard out there -- the rigid ones and boil ones just didn't work for me and dentists charge hundreds. It was just like this one although softer plastic. Then they took those off the market and replaced them with a series of awful items -- large flanges that hurt the gums or wings that didn't adjust/rotate with the bite etc etc. Finally this one is back -- harder and thus a little less comfortable than the original -- but close enough. It adjust to the bite and does the job of preventing grinding.

Did not work for me
This mouth guard seemed like it would be worth the cost, initially fairly comfortable but it never stayed in place. I made adjustments as it allows but so often found that when I woke up it was lying on my pillow. Was very disappointed because the reviews led me to think that this was the best one for me.

Excellent bite guard
My Kroger stopped carrying these, so I ordered these from Amazon. They are genuine, and arrived promptly. I used to have a $700 night guard my dentist made for me, but I keep waking up with it on the nightstand. These work as a perfect replacement, and while I have to replace them after several months, it’s still less expensive, a lot more comfortable, and I actually use it. There are two kinds of these night guards, the ones with softer wings you bite on and ones with harder bite wings. The softer ones are more comfortable to start with, but don’t last as long. These are the harder ones. I was initially less happy with it, but my old one was shot and there wasn’t a local replacement, so I used it. After 1-2 nights I was fine, and even like it better than the soft kind.
