Have seen complaints about non-standard screw size, it works perfectly with a #10-24 x3/4” (24 threads per inch) stainless steel machine screw. Those people using #8-32 or #10-32 are just using the incorrectly sized and/or threading for this box. Used to install Eve Home outdoor Cam (with adapter plate) with no problem. Sturdy and weather-proof. Good purchase.

No screws included - That isn't a problem. Non-standard screw size - That is a problem. The standard fixture screw for this type of box is 8-32. Most fixtures you would attach to this box typically include the normal 8-32 screws anyway. But in this box, an 8-32 screw is very loose and won't grip, and a 10-32 is too big to fit. I had to drill and tap for a 10-32 to fit. I bought 2 of these for a lighting project. Same story on both. Not recommended.

Our house was built in the 70's and all floodlights had small inch-wide holes with wires coming out. When it came time to swap out the floodlights, none would fit since the wire nuts cannot go into the hole. We also have large overhangs, so this worked exceptionally well to bring the light down a few inches. It made the installation so much easier. I sealed the box with silicone where it meets the overhang to ensure nothing gets in it.

Product worked out great

Very good quality. The white finish is well done and was exactly what I needed for a new Ring floodlight/camera. Cheaper than buying a typical grey box locally and painting it white. Only minor issue is the lack of screws for the cover. These are typically an 8/32 thread but in this case they are 8/24 thread. Not an issue for me as I have a large assortment of various screw sizes but may affect others unfamiliar with the various thread sizes/pitch. Would be nice if the manufacturer provided the screws but as I said, it's a minor point.

Good electrical box. You need to use #10-24 screws to attach anything, not the standard #8-32 that everything else uses. #8 screws will strip out easily, as many of the other reviews mention.

Great box, just make certain the location is flat or you can snap the screw holes off.
