Well built , easy to use , does the job easily

It’s very easy to use although I would say the instructions are not very clear. You need a wooden block to split small length logs (30cm) as the hydraulic piston doesn’t run to the end.

This splitter is very heavy, so choose a spot where you can leave it. We have now managed to split some huge logs that we couldn’t do before. If the log is a bit short put a smaller log in front of it and you can still split it. Highly recommended

This is a powerful splitter but it is only really effective in a fairly narrow set of circumstances. Most of my logs were too long/short/wide for it to be of any use.But worse than this is the poor durability and the shockingly poor support from the seller. The splitter has two handles. One advances the piston quickly, the other more slowly. So you use the fast handle to move the piston into position and the slower handle to actually split the log. On the third log the fast handle on my splitter just went limp. I was able to split a few more logs with the slow handle. But when I contacted Charles, Bentley I just got a short email telling me how to bleed the pump. I tried again a few times and got no further response or advice.Bleeding it might have helped but I didn't have any oil, nor did the instructions advise what oil to use. In the end I returned it for a refund at my own expense.

Not sure what else to say, it does the job perfectly and keeps you fit at the same time

Fantastic purchase, very sturdy and easy to use, splits very tough logs easily. I read the reviews and someone had put to insert another log in with the one you are splitting if it is not quite long enough - very good advise. I would recommend this product and wish I had purchased sooner.

Very solid, and well built. Functions as intended. The reason I have not given 5 stars is because it functions best with longer, thin(ner) logs, as the ram only extends about half way to the splitting wedge. It therefore copes less well with cake-style logs - unless they are really large! Perhaps developing/offering/supplying an extender/adapter to the ram head would ease this niggle? It also really does not like wet logs……..

Wish I had brought this years ago. Has made light work of resplitting my hard wood log pile. With hardly any effort. The fast and slow pump action is effortless to use.Some of my logs have been smaller than the pump length. But using a bigger log as spacer (as suggested on YouTube reviews) has overcome this

L'ho provato spaccando diversi ceppi anche abbastanza grossi e li ha spaccati. Bisogna usare degli spessori di legno quando il ceppo è corto. Non bisogna avere fretta perchè il pistone avanza piano ma fa il suo lavoro. Personalmente l'ho uso su dei tronchi di rovere e altri legni man mano che mi serve. Soddisfatto.

Come da aspettative, buona manovrabilità ed efficienza.Unica accortezza: se il pezzo di legna è corto bisogna inserire uno spessore, ma èabbastanza agevole.Considerazioni personali: poco ingombrante niente movimenti automatici cioè minor rischio di farsi male e discreto esercizio fisico

La lavorazione risulta un po' lenta, ma molto efficace Dovrebbe essere usato sollevato da terra A tal fine si presta bene per esser montato su un carrello che logicamente deve essere molto robusto o su una struttura fissa. Può essere usato anche in verticale. Forse le leve potevano essere previste anche curve, per facilitare il movimento. Finalmente non uso più la scure a mazza.
