Very smooth and not as gritty as some other butters I had in the past. I use it to mix with other oils for my hair and body.

This is huge!!! My initial rating was 5 STARZ, but had to change it because now it's rock hard! It was extra gritty when I tried to apply it to my skin. I'll try melting it as others have suggested then do another review. I'm not totally dissatisfied, but puzzled as to why it hardened up like this? When I first received it was a little soft and smooth.

I like this product as it is soft and smooth. However it is a little gritty and it takes a little extra caressing in order to fully emulsify it.

Do Not BUY!!! This product is so grainy and left grains all in my hair. I melted the butter before mixing with coconut oil, vitamin e oil and essential oil. I put in frig to allow to get back in solid state and it was still grainy. I even melted it in my hands before applying to my curls and it left grains all in my hair. My co-worker wanted to know who had dropped food in my hair. What a joke? It may work for some on the skin but not good for hair. I plan to try to return this product and get my money back. What a waste.

Nice product and fairly packaged, however the container arrived cracked open but there was no spillage.

The texture of this Shea butter is different from every other brand Ive tried. It take a lot of maneuvering to get it to melt in your hands. The texture is like granulated sugar. No Bueno.

Its okay. Not the best shea butter i have ordered and I doubt its actually organic but its a good price. If you're looking for top of the line, this is not it but you can still make good beauty products with it.

If received my Shea Butter today feels really nice and I didn't have that granulate feeling that some of these reviews have but a FYI if you have that granulate feeling just melt the Shea butter when it turns back solid you will not have that feeling but having that granulate feeling doesn't make the Shea butter a bad batch just a FYI
