helps with the grip
This is a nicely made product with a wooden handle. It improves the options for how to hold the Sony RX100. The bottom has some hollows which can be used to grip the camera. Access to the battery/memory card compartment is blocked (maybe it's possible to cut out the thin aluminum base left?) - that is why 4 and not 5 stars. Access to the charging port (or HDMI) is not hampered, and taking off the grip to swap batteries is possible using a coin, but still... What is the point of the extra batteries I bought? And the RX100 (mine is a V) is power hungry!
