Vitamix S30 Red Personal Blender with 1 Compact and 2 Portable To-Go Containers

Sooooo fab!! Worth every penny. Makes such marvelous salad dressing, I make two batches at a time and my husband and I share the dressing for 3-4 days. Just a beautiful machine and so efficient. Can't say enough good things about it.

I love my Vita Mix. I purchased the S30. I like the size and have been loving the almond milk and green smoothies!

I think this is an amazing blender, and I just adore it. However for some people it could be a disappointment. For starters, it's really for a single person, or perhaps two people who are light eaters. But for two people with healthy appetites, this blender really is a bit too small, even for just smoothies--and you'd probably be much better off with a full-size Vitamix. Biggest problem I have with this model is the size of the small single serving cup. It's cute and it's double insulated, but unless you're making a very small smoothie, it's just too small. And if you try to overfill it, this smaller Vitamix just can't handle it, particularity if any of the ingredients are frozen; and unlike the larger container that has a lid that that features an open feed hole, you can't use the tamper to force the ingredients into the blades. In fact even when using the larger 40 ounce container, you very often have to use the tamper-- for thick smoothies with frozen ingredients, for seed butters, for ice cream made with frozen bananas and soy milk ice cubes--you will have to use the tamper, and work (force) the ingredients down into the vortex of the blender (plenty of videos on YouTube to see this Vitamix tampering action if you are not familiar with it). The larger Vitamixs with stronger motors, can often handle things like thick frozen smoothies, and you don't have to use the tamper, but not so with this lower powered, smaller model . Once you use the tamper to assist the blender to get a hold of everything, however, the blender works great and gets things perfectly smooth and wonderful. For me, this blender really has changed my life. My goal was to get more fresh vegetables and fruits down into my gut, and now I can do this with either smoothies, or juices (strain the smoothie through a nut milk bag), or I can make fresh creamy soups with all kinds of different vegetables, right in the blender ( my current favorite is cauliflower cheddar cheese ); I think it's great that after seven minutes, the S30 gets soups piping hot and satiny smooth . I bought my unit refurbished, and it was just like new and operated flawlessly. I recommend the refurbished units for those trying to save money on these expensive and wonderfully made American blenders. You really can see the quality of these Vitamixs as opposed to the Chinese made Nutribullet for instance. After living with this blender for a month now, I would never give it up, and I can see why people have raved over these machines over the years. If you are single, or part of a healthy fit skinny couple that doesn't eat too much, I can't recommend this unit enough.

I really hate to say this but I was not impressed with the personal blender. Having to screw and un screw the bottom, if using the 32oz, or the top on the tumbler, was most difficult. I seems to be made cheaply. That's my impression. Really was not happy with this product and for such an expensive blender.....not worth it.

How did I live with out it.

Love it! Just right for a couple! And if I don't need to use the big oz I use one of the to go cups for smaller portioned sauces. Easy to clean. Takes up little space which is necessary to us.
