Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I just got the toy today and gave it to my friend with 2 kittens. If it breaks tomorrow we already got our money's worth. They chased the laser for an hour and it was so fun to watch. We finally turned it off because we were trying to watch a football game and it was impossible with kittens running in circles and loving their new toy. It needs 3 AA batteries that don't come with it, FYI.

It has 3 speeds - slow, fast, and random. The laser moves along a circular track on the floor that remains the same radius, which we really appreciate - we've had other laser toys that move too sporadically, up and down the walls and furniture, and it's honestly too much sometimes.The automatic shutoff is awesome, so that they aren't overstimulated. We do try to reward them with a treat afterward since it's apparently not good for them to not get the satisfaction after chasing something - but it's also a wonderful distraction in a pinch when we need to get out the door and our seven little furry angels aren't letting us go.We haven't had it long, so no feedback on long term use, but if it stops working anytime soon I'll definitely update this review. It also takes 3 AA batteries which are not included.

I am going to write this review as a comparison to the "PetSafe Bolt Interactive Laser Cat Toy" that we have also had and explain the differences.Nutshell:PetSafe Laser Toy - Hard on Batteries (can not use Rechargeables). Better for a wall and not the ground. Not as durable as the Pawesome. Our cat still loved it but maybe not quite as much as the Pawesome. A lot more randomness to its movements.Pawsome Laser Toy - GREAT on batteries and can use Rechargeables. Made for the floor, not a wall. Our cat is in love with this toy. Seems durable, has been knocked over numerous times and it is still going strong. Wish it had more randomness like the PetSafe Laser ToyPetSafe Bolt Interactive Laser Cat Toy - When we bought our cat the PetSafe laser toy, he absolutely loved it. Unfortunately he bumped it once, knocked it over and since then the laser adjusting mechanism will no longer stay in one position. A little bit of scotch tape and it was back up and running. The big negative to that toy is that it eats through batteries like CRAZY. We can run it 3-4 times and the batteries are dead. I tried to use rechargeable batteries but it just did not like them and would barely light up. I would like to note that the PetSafe laser toy is also more suited for pointing at a wall instead of the floor. So keep that in mind if it matters to you.Pawsome Pets Rotating Cat Laser Toy (This item) - So we bought this one just this last week and our cat could not be happier with it. He will meow at us when we put it on Random and the timer runs out, he wants more and more. Compared to the PetSafe laser toy, this thing is absolutely fantastic with the batteries. I bet we have turned in on for the cat 10-15x so far since we got it and we are still on the original batteries. Just to try it out, I did put rechargeables into it and they worked perfectly. Not sure why the PetSafe laser toy did not like them. so I mentioned that the PetSafe laser toy would be better for walls, while the Pawesome laser toy is meant for the ground. You place it on the ground and it goes around in circles. This I think suits our cat better as we can place it in the middle of a rug and he will sit there chasing it until he gets tired, then he will lay down and just watch it until he gets enough energy back to go after it again. Oh, and our puppy likes to play with this toy also. My only "wish" for this toy is that maybe it changed up its "up and down". It just goes in a perfect circle back and forth, would be nice if there could be some zig zag to it. Anyways, for us... the Pawesome Laser toy wins our cats vote.

I like that the random mode turns off automatically after 15 minutes, so I can turn it out and then walk away without worrying about the batteries draining. If you have a cat that loves chasing a laser pointer, I think this toy would be a great choice!

Shipped very quickly. I was excited to see how my 'kiddos' would react to this toy and I wasn't let down and neither were they. They love it!I have it on the carpet and it stays upright. I love the 3 speeds depending on their mood for play. It's so fun watching them and seeing their excitement when I take it out of the closet for them.I also like the fact the pointer is toward the floor which gives me ease as for the safety of their vision from the laser.I bought this toy in hopes it would also help with the digging of my male cat. He likes to pick at things day & night. I have tried many toys and so far this one's the best. I have had peace, for the most part, since I bought it. When he's acting up, I just take it out and redirect him.I have and will continue to recommend this toy to all of my friends for their furbabies.It's amazing!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Both cats are pretty occupied with it. I have one vet talkative cat and this is perfect to keep him quiet. I wish it went up no down as well, I think putting it on the stairs would be a challenge. He seems to like it when there are more obstacles. It’s ver light and it does turn off after a certain amount of time which is probably good. Lol I feel like I’m torturing him but he look entertained.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This works exactly as advertised... but there are only 3 speed settings: slow, fast, & random. Even slow is pretty fast. So if your cats are as lazy as mine, they will get tired just watching that red dot whizz around the room. With more control over the speed, it might have been possible to engage them in actual movement.

Bought for kids cat. They say cats love it better than previous. It’s used everyday.

I have had two put in new batteries 3 times in the span of a week!! Timer goes off within less than two minutes. Only goes in a small circle, not exciting for my cats at all!!
