I recently had a new water heater installed and it required a 4 inch flue pipe to replace a 3 inch flue pipe. The plumber just took out the old flue and replaced it but as he did that, the old mortal that was there crumbled and left some gap between the water heater flue, boiler flue and the chimney masonry that needed to be filled. Too big to caulk so I needed something to fill the large gap. This was perfect for the job!Wear proper protective gear to prevent breathing in dust and getting it into your eyes and on your hands before installing!

100% usable products, perfectly uniform and dense material. I used in a forge made from a propane tank, with a single forced air burner running at 4PSI with 50CFM air forced in. The fiber blanked has been covered in a refractory material to prevent airborne inhalation of the fiber and to insulate the forge. the forge gets white hot, works perfectly.

Used this in my BBQ turned wood fired pizza oven to keep heat and flames inside the 'oven' area. East to cut and fit and it works great!

I like ceramic fiber for its versatility and light weight. I use this with a 3 burner propane forge with open ends to close off one end when I need more heat.

Purfect cut it in half and have on for next time
