Campingandkayaking Made in The USA! Kayak Gear Leash (Color OD Green)

I decided to write a review for this paddle leash because the part I received is not exactly as pictured. I purchased one a few months ago and was happy with it (would be a 5-star) and decided to get a second one, but the new one is different. The first one has a carabiner with a pin as shown in the ad photo. The second one has a larger clip with a "wire gate." I had not seen this type before. I read on another site that the wire gate allows for a larger opening, but I don't know why you would need a larger opening for this use, and I am not sure having a larger carabiner is a plus. I think it will work okay (or I can easily change the carabiner,) but I don't like that it is not as pictured so that is why I am rating it a 4-star. I am attaching photos that compare the old and new design and show the new pin.

Very nice, Good length on the leash, and an outstanding clip for attaching either to you or your boat. Shock corded as well so that should you hit full extension it doe not just simply abruptly stop. Also because of the shock-cording, It stays out of your way when in use.

Just hook it on to your paddle like the picture, with a cow hitch. Then tighten up the springed stop for extra piece of mind and to keep it in place, but the cow hitch alone should keep it on the paddle. Prefect length, never in the way, and a useful carabiner that I used also to lock up other things. It's a good purchase that makes me feel more secure on the water.

A lot my buddies do not care to use a paddle lease, but I am glad I bought this one. The D-ring on this baby clips onto your life vest, kayak, or anywhere you need to attach your paddle for safe keeping. I was a little skeptical when I first saw it, but I am very happy I purchased it.

I use these for anything that needs to be tethered to my kayak, so between my wife and I, we have 5 of these. They works great for any application. The large carabiner makes this really easy to use, even with gloves on.

I bought this Item along with a 5/8, 8ft. fiberglass tree stake and made a shallow water anchor . I have used this many time fishing in both Fresh & saltwater no matter how windy it has never failed to hold! So for less than $30 you can make what sporting stores charge over a $100 for and I bought it all on Amazon!

The paddle leashes work well on our kayaks. The cord is long enough to attach the leashes on a loop on the back of the seats. The paddles stay with the kayaks even if they slide out of the kayak while we are putting them into the water. It's a rookie, newbie mistake. The cords are long enough that we can paddle freely with them as well.

Nice cloth covered bungee with a good size clip on one end and a cord toggle on the other to adjust the loop snug around the paddle shaft. Its a good length without being overly lomg to get tangled in or too short for when you want to do some good paddling and don't want any extra tension.Only wish it came in other colors 😃😉
