This open performs as expected. I purchased disposable fountain pens to try before obligating myself to fountain pens. Minimal pressure is needed to produce a legible mark, which is what I needed since my job requires me to take extensive hand notes. It's comfortable to hold even in my giant hands. The ink dries quickly on paper.Downside: I doubt it will be useful for writing on duplicate/multiple pages at once. But I've not tried yet. The pen color isn't as metallic looking as advertised, almost plastic looking. This isn't a reason not to purchase the pen. The ink dries when you leave it with the cap off for 15 minutes. But after a little bit of drawing it along the paper, the ink starts flowing again without the need of an external source for moisture. Finally, it doesn't fit in my shirt pocket as the clip barely brushes the top of the pocket. This is a fair tradeoff for a pen that isn't too small for a giant of my size.

I been a pen fancier for sixty years! I've owned expensive fountain pens and less as well. This is an economical but beautiful pen that writes as smoothly as spreading butter. Also, it doesn't skip when I write fast. Best of all, I repeat it's beautiful! I am so satisfied.

I think this pen is wonderful to use! It’s added such elegance to my journaling. It’s a little slippery but maybe that’s just a personal flaw. The ink is really high quality, I have since bought the Dryden 24 pack of black ink because they go FAST. but overall it’s a nice quality affordable pen.

The fountain pen by Dryden Designs is worth the money. The fine point is a smooth writer with no feed back.

I have used and had serveral dryden design pens. Thier flow is usually wonderful and i have always loved them. A fabuolusly balanced pen. But this time around i am not impressed. My last fountain pens were bought a year ago. But the new set of pens that I bought just recently don't seem to have the same quality. The nibs themselves don't Glide and they skip. I have tried both nibs that came with the fountain pen and both the fine and the medium don't work well. If their quality has gone down this much in one year I don't think I will be buying more pens from them. I'm extremely disappointed.

Pen is beautiful, hefty and well balanced not posted. Both the fine and medium nibs however, though quite smooth are VERY unreliable. They both are hard to start and when they do, they skip a lot. It's VERY frustrating!If you want a solid, well built pen that has been adjusted and tested BEFORE it's shipped to you, look no further than the Karas Pen Co. (formerly Karas Kustoms). They take pride in the American handmade pens they make and have many options to choose from that make YOUR pen truly unique to you and your preferences. I would have given the Dreyden Designs pen set a higher rating if it wasn't so finicky and unpredictable.

This is a gift for my 13 year old grand daughter who loves journalizing, writing poetry, letters etc and she adores this fountain pen. It is lovely to look at, easy to hold, and writes beautifully. She is delighted with it.

Got this for my daughter for her 13th birthday. She was thrilled when it was easy to put together, flowed quite easily, and wrote nicely on regular paper. The weight of the pen is nice. I'd say a great purchase for the price!

The pen is easily held for writing and provides a smooth writing experience. The option to use cartridges or the refill converter is a plus.

It didn’t mention it doesn’t come with ink. I bought the ink separately and it was delivered fast, easy to use and no mess. Great pen.Update: after using a couple days briefly it leaks black ink! I used the Dryden ink pack

LOVE My DRYDEN FOUNTAIN PEN, it is great, NICE SMOOTH WRITING. I got the narrow nib for fine writing and once I blew out the nib portion of pen (from debris from the manufacturing was stuck) it worked great. Remember to put the cap back on, so the ink does not dry out. I am 63 and the font size on the paperwork that came with the pen was so tiny, I went to U Tube to read them. Love my pen, may order a second one and refills!!! I like the blue ink!!
