Nice Lights. Here Are The Details You Want To Know
OK here are details which should answer questions.. First off; these are nice compared to others. They have 4 magnets and hook at the base and are light weight with good quality for the price. I purchased 4 of them. I put them outside to completely charge using the solar. I then covered the solar panels with painters tape to stop charging for my test. I put very weak batteries in one and new batteries in the other with the other two using just solar. I tuned on (opened) all 4 to run the test. The two with no batteries and the one with very weak batteries all had the same brightness. The one with new batteries had a much brighter light then the others so I took out a battery to see if it was using the battery and not solar. It went to the same brightness as the others. When I put the battery back in it got brighter telling me it was using the battery first before the solar or both???? I noticed solar charging produced a lesser brightness compared to the AC charge which produced a bright light. Maybe the solar charge needs in the sun longer???? They are great for camping where they will charge during a full days sun. These will only give you a bright light for 3-4 hours then slowly will lessen. Have extras if you need the brightness or use batteries which will give you more hours of a bright light. After 3 days; yes I said 3 days 3 their brightness held at a light equivalent to a bright night light which allowed me to still see 10 feet away. The one with the batteries still giving me a bright night light for 5 days. I highly recommend these guys for the outdoors. I don't know how long these hold a charge but will try to update you. I recommend putting batteries in them with a thin piece of paper or plastic between one of the battery terminals and connector; just like products you buy where you pull out a piece of thin plastic so the batteries will make a connection. This way you always will have lighting available for home or camping etc.

Rechargeable
I used a similar product from HarborFreight but those were always needing batteries and these do not unless you want them. Recharge from sun or USB or batteries.Very bright but only for about 6 hours. Well worth it anyway.

I am satisfied with the two sets I purchased
COB LED Camping Lantern with Magnetic Base Brand: TANSOREN - Solar-powered. I just bought my second set of 4. I have not used the cables that came with them, or put batteries in them. That said, I have used the Solar Power exclusively. The two sets - now 8 of them, sit under a desk lamp that is on most of the day. I am a partial Work At Home IT Tech, and yes I have to make service calls in person too. Yet my point is they trickle charge all the time. If it is sunny, I take them outside in the sun. When I am at the cabin I take two of them minimum, and use them there. Around the house, given the reviews I have read, and my own peace of mind. I use them in the house, especially after dark. I treat it like I do not have power, so when the real power outages do happen, I can be ready, and have worked through any kinks. My luck has been so far the power outages happen when I am gone. Oh well. I still put them through the paces, and so far I am doing good. They are bright, some brighter than others, but not sub-standard. They seem to do well overall. The magnets on the second batch are much stronger. The design is ok too. They do Earn and Burn - they charge in a well lit area, while in use. Overall, I am satisfied. I got them mainly for power outages, and to use at the Cabin too. I do not have any power period there. I am on-grid at the house with power. But I have not tried the cords, and they look scary too me. Fire waiting to happen, or get electrocuted. The batteries if I do get any will be re-chargeable, I try to be as eco-friendly as I can be within reason. That is my take on these.

Bright! Neat solar option! Questionable AC plugs.
They're so bright straight out the package! So bright it makes one see LED spots even after looking away. My husband and I were wowed! I want to frost them like another customer review mentioned with some sand paper. Diffuse lighting is easier on the eyes >_< The main reason I bought these is in case of a power outtage. The solar feature is really cool. There's a little red charge light that turns on when placed in direct sunlight for charging. Too bad it doesn't signal when the charging is complete. The red light only turns off when the unit is taken out of sunlight. I wish these LED bulbs were "white light" rather than "cool daylight" but that's a personal preference. I threw away the AC plugs, they're so sketch looking with what I think are unfinished prongs!! (pic included) I read another customer review about smoke appearing from the unit when AC plugs are in use. The product info grammar is way off, picture included. I like that they are lightweight but the plastic seems thin/easily breakable for rugged camping or sports.

Perfect for lighting personal space and the convenience of a phone charger as well.
This was a gift for a friend in Nigeria. The area lost electricity 3 years ago and the government never had it put back on. They get along with a small generator but need to conserve it for cooking, refrigerator, etc so no lights in the evening and would have to go by foot to stores where they could charge phones every other day. Although the lamps are small they were perfect so each family member would have light in their space; and it was slow to charge their phones, but now they wouldn't have to make the long trek every other day.

It has everything you could wish for
Excellent product. Magnets are strong enough to hold it upside down from a horizontal pipe just by 2 magnets, and that small of a surface area.

Bright and convenient, but after 1 year they won't recharge.
At first these were great. We get frequent power outages in winter so having rechargeable, portable lights like this is great. Use 'em for a bit until the power either comes back on or I fire up the Genny. Initially very bright, lightweight, but still seemed well built and with a magnetic bottom. However after a few months of non-use during summer I was disappointed to find that all the units were either low or dead and even after being plugged in for an overnight charge they were still dim or not lit at all. Fortunately they do have the option for standard battery use, so I can still use them, but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives if I had wanted that. The whole point was to have something rechargeable so I didn't have to pay for batteries.
