Take the product out and place it where you want to place it, and make sure that the product has no quality problems. 2. Open the battery cover, install a 9V battery, and close the battery cover. 3. Press the power button to turn on, and adjust to the desired gear. 4. After the gear is adjusted, the green light starts to flash, wait for two minutes to allow the product to detect and adjust to the working environment by itself. (any movement and contact during the adjustment of the environment may cause the product to fail to work properly.) 5. If you want to change the location of the product or change the battery during usage, please repeat the above four steps after shutting down (be sure to change the battery or place after shutting down.) Notice: Pets suffering from heart disease and high blood pressure are strictly prohibited to use, so as not to frighten and cause death

Great training for puppies
When picking up our 8 week old beagle puppy at the breeder's she highly recommended this mat. She said that puppies learn quickly to not step on the mat, or they will receive a mild shock. We bought two mats as soon as we got home. These are great to lay across a threshhold to keep puppies from wandering into a room or hallway. After a short time, the static shock can be turned off and you can just use the tone. There is still a light that goes on and off to warn the dog. It worked great for us. In fact, our beagle was jumping on a wicker couch in our sunroom to sniff and bite plants. We bought a third, layed it across the cushions and our beagle stopped immediately jumping on the couch. These are a bit pricey ($40 each) but well worth the cost !

WASTE of money.
This does not work, I purchased 2 of these to keep my pets out a room. Neither worked, I thought maybe it was the batteries so I went and purchased newer ones, these mats still did not work. Returning ASAP. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE.

good product
This product works because it is a remote correction and the dogs do not associate it with their owners--it works whether the owner is around or not. It is especially effective for counter surfing and keeping dogs off the furniture. The stimulus is about the same as a carpet shock. It will work for boundary training but the dogs can easily see if it is in place or not so will have to be used routinely to be effective.

Returned before using
After it arrived, it just seemed too cruel of a way to stop my cats from jumping on the furniture. I returned and never used.

Don’t buy. It’s not worth it
Ehh well I put the battery in. And my cats just sat on it. So I put my hand on it (high setting) no shock🤷🏽♂️

Not good
Didn’t work properly. Sent back. Sometimes wouldn’t shock even when it was on. Dog could get right on top of it. Waste of money

Seriously this product is a game changer.
Such a problem solver I wish I had found it sooner. It would have saved need from countless sleepless nights as my cats would paw at the bottom of my bedroom door. True game-changer!

Embedded wire may come loose
I bought the 12” x 60” pad. After being in place on the floor and working for about a week, never stepped on by pet or human, noticed that one of the embedded wires had lifted up from the plastic. As I was stepping over the mat (12” wide) in my stocking feet, I felt the wire and, thankfully, was able to get over the mat without tripping on it!
