As said, charged my phone 3 times then my phone said slow charge, and the unit was extremely hot to touch. I replaced the outlet block with my wife's, and it worked fine. Sent message to seller, no response. Buy a higher priced unit, or get it locally so you can return......attn! do not buy! I reached out to vendor again never have received a courtesy email, they do not care about the buyer. Please remove this vendor from Amazon........

It works perfectly, which is honestly a relief. I've gone through a few in the past – one managed a respectable ten months, the other, well, let's just say three months felt like a very short relationship. So, I decided to stock up and bought three this time, just in case. Look, for ten bucks, I'm not expecting miracles, but I am expecting it to charge my phone. And so far, it's doing exactly that. From the get-go, this cable has not worked for file transfer from my phone to my PC. That was really annoying - it just never occurred to me that it wouldn't work for that. The listing itself doesn't mention file transfer but it does talk about compatibility with micro-USB and surely that should include the types of functions you would expect with any regular micro-USB cable? Anyway, I had another, shorter cable that I could use, so I forgave the lack of file transfer. At that point, I would have given 3 stars probably, since it's a good price point and the charger does work, including fast charging capability. Then, a week ago, my phone stopped charging. Upon checking, the micro-USB plug no longer fits snugly in the phone charging port, so it won't charge the phone unless you hold it in the plug at just right angle. So, ultimately, no file transfer and the micro-USB plug/cable is garbage. Still using the charger with that other shorter cable I mentioned so I'm going to grit my teeth and give this 2 stars. I'll update this to 1 star if the charger fails, which I'm sure will happen sometime in the next week or two.Update: As expected, fast charging capability no longer works either. I think I got another couple of months out of it - now it charges like any other non-fast charging unit. Downgraded to 1 star, as promised.
