I have this one. C. Jung is right.  5R, 7.5R, 10R, 2.5YR, 5YR, 7.5YR, 10YR, 2.5Y, 5Y, 10Y-5GY, GLEY1, GLEY2, WHITE are all included as well as intro pages with charts for estimating percentage of mottles and fragments, sizes of different types of structures (granular, platy, blocky, prismatic and columnar). It's stupid expensive, but if you need it you need it.

Does this come with the soil texture guide (silt, sand, etc)?

Cryptdang- I have the 2009 Revision/2013 Production edition of the Munsell Soil Color Book. It does not have a "Feel Method for Soil Texturing" chart included in the book. I recommend looking at the chart in the attached site: http://www.ndhealth.gov/wq/sw/z1_nps/pdf_files/soil_texture_feel_test.pdf. If you go on line and type in Feel Method for Soil Texturing, you will find a plethora of charts. I recommend avoiding the charts that tell you "Place the soil in your palm....." They appear to be created by people who have lots of experience texturing soil, but none in transmitting the methodology. Look for a chart that has a recognizable amount of soil to place in your palm; one or two tablespoons, or a golf ball sized amount is usually what I see. These folks are explaining to everyone, well versed and not so well versed in soil texturing.

What is the size of the paper? Seems to be inbetween A5 and A6. Want to replace the cover/binder bc I dont like the thickness of the new one.

Sheets are 112 x 184 mm (4.4 x 7.2 in). The tabs stick out an additional 8 mm (0.3 in).
Rings are centered about 29, 48, and 66 mm  (1.1, 1.85, 2.6 in) from each edge.

How does it handle mixed soils or soils that have redox throughout?

IF the Capsure detect multiple colors it may indicate the major colors and report them. Depending upon the redox feature it may average the color with matrix, but you can change the aperture to small and if device properly placed it will likely read the color of the redox. Since redox coloring is complex you may get multiple colors reported. Keep inmind that the device takes a mini picture and shows you that surrounded by a ring of matched colors.
