Don't Bother!
Unless your existing gasket is physically broken or torn, don't bother with a new replacement. This gasket fits properly, but is not thick enough to make a full seal with the canister so it is no improvement over your old one. It appears the best option is just to recondition your existing gasket by boiling it in water for about 2 minutes. This trick works on most rubber parts, including 0-rings and faucet washers. It will restore most of the original softness and shape if the part isn't too badly miss shapen

Your problem may be elsewhere
I bought this gasket because my filter had developed a habit of unscrewing its lid and falling to the bottom of the pool. No obvious cracks in the plastic, deformed tabs, etc. I figured the old gasket was compressed and needed replacement to tighten up the fit. Didn't solve the problem at all, and I ended up having to buy an entire new filter. Disappointed.
