Bytecc HDMI Splitter (HMSP102)
I was looking for an HDMI splitter that wasn't expensive, did not require setup options or offer "extra" features I would never use. It had to work out of the box, and feed a signal to two flat screen televisions. It had to work whether one or both televisions were on or not. In short all I wanted was a splitter that just required plugging in the cables, power, and would work. I didn't want to be concerned about the technical aspects of the signal it was carrying. I'm very happy with my Bytec splitter. I would recommend this product very highly. Here's where I purchased mine: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004N1VJJI/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_img

Works well when both TVs/Monitors are on.
I purchased this to split the satellite signal to two TVs, one in the livingroom, and one in the rec. room. When I first tried it out I had both TVs on and everything seemed to work. But the problems occurred when only one TV was on, and didnt matter whether it was Output 1 or Output 2; neither would work when the other was turned off.On the plus side, it was very easy to install, and is very cheap in price! So if you are looking to use 2 TVs at all times with a single signal, then this would be great. But in my case where one TV would be used at a time, and rarely both TVs on, not worth the hassle.

undeliverable ambitious device
unfortunately this product did not do what it is advertised to do, not even the basest functionality was apparent except some idiot LEDS that come on more or less regardless. These days most computers or laptops only exhibit multi channel audio thru their hdmi ports, unfortunately most tv's only present and process the standard left and right channels. On my desktop I can output multi channel audio thru hdmi but as mentioned above it is only apparent as stereo. SO I took a chance on this device I did not source it thru amazon and it failed to work. no audio was available on any of the analog outputs, I could not test if a digital spdif audio stream was available or not, but I suspect not due to the extremely lacking performanceas I will elucidate further. even simple video audio pass thru did not work so I suspect bytecc has serious skill and quality control issues that need addressing. to be honest if the device had worked at this price point it would have been an incredible product of the Year!. I was heartened and suckered when the EID seemed to work i.e. win 7 reported the hdmi interface to be 8 channel when the EID was switched to LPCM 7.1 but again unfortunately the interface was not openable as multi channel thru softwares. e.g. playing a 7.1 dolby movie thru vlc was not a successful effortl, as the simple pass thru case didn't work this was not surprising. VLC's audio menu only expanded to offer stereo or mono. Likewise my own custom software was not able to open it as more than 2 channel despite windows sound configuration offering the whole gamut of channel options and permutations as it does for such real multi channel devices. using windows audio device config to output to the various channels was also a failure i.e. the device failed to extract audio to the analog mini jacks. Its not surprising as this would then have been an incredible 8 channel DAC if it had, such christmas presents are not want to appear in such a cold real world.obviously it is beyond the ken of bytecc to deliver such a device, especially at this price point. I venture to add that 4k capability must be a ludicrous fantasy on their part too given the abysmal results with HD and promised functionality. They, best stick to all digitals such as USB hard drive interfaces etc.

Still working great after 1.5 years
I've been using this for a year and a half now and it still works great. My only problem is that I just changed one of the TVs to a LG 4k and now both TVs turn on when you turn one of them on. A little frustrating but other then that, still working just like it was advertised to do!!!!
