Easy to put together the lock is a pin that the magnet is used to slide the pin up .. reading the reviews I thought it wasn’t going to work but it did . And the book shelf is small for small spaces . Hey I like it !!

Luckily I had no issues with this being all wonky like I've read in some other reviews. Just one piece was slightly off and I was assembling the shelf but it was so minor it still worked. Just wasnt able to tighten one screw completely as so if i did it would have cracked the wood. So far it seems to hold tight enough to not be wobbly. The locking pin can be tricky to open and close especially if you're not a patient person. Just have to make sure that you're not putting any pressure on the locking pin (like as you pull or push the drawer) so that the magnet can catch to open or release it to drop it into locking. And yeah, the box itself could have gone without the averting as everyone in the house knew about it before I even got home from work. Now I can see the kids searching all the furniture in the house for secret compartments. Overall I am super happy with this and am now kinda obsessed with other furniture that has neat things like this

This cabinet looks great and is very easy to assemble - I put it together quickly without any issues. It feels sturdy and the sliding track works well. The only downside is that it arrived with some minor scratches. Not a dealbreaker, but still disappointing for a new item.

You can’t put the bookshelf together without taking out the secret drawer- GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! The drawer simply will not come out. I’ve used the magnet they provided. I used a stronger magnet. The drawer will not come out. Be careful if you are able to get the drawer to work. You may never be able to open it again. You’ll have to use a sledgehammer to remove your stuff. This tells me the apparatus on the inside is incredibly cheap. I hear little faint clicks, but the drawer won’t open. After struggling with this item for over an hour, I managed to get the drawer a third of the way open but still cannot remove it completely as it is too tight for the base. Therefore, I cannot complete putting the bookshelf together. This is going back, but I’m tempted to trash it because returns are a major pain! This is a total waste of money! Poorly constructed. Spend your money on products better made.

I got this for the magnetic draws. Which is why I’m willing to pay so much instead of going to ikea for better quality and cheaper. But the draws doesn’t work. The magnet is faulty. No magnet needed to open the draw. Wood are cheap and light weight. It wobble and does not look sturdy. Qualities that I was willing to compromise IF the magnetic draws works. So this is just an overprice poorly made shelf. I wish I could return it but it’s all assembled.

Easy to assemble and the hidden drawer is exactly what I needed. It’s easy to open and close with the magnet lock feature.
